...fizzle.

The image flickers out and the whole theater, including the screen, goes dark. The excessive heat in the valley has caused a power outage. As a manager explains the situation to the audience, he offers to refund their money. Turtle, ever the ballsy one, exclaims, “Fuck that. They saw at least half the movie!”

The boys wander out through the crowded lobby, striking up a conversation with a couple of young geek-ish type fans that have recognized Vince from the movie. Shortly, more and more people in the lobby realize who Vince is, and young girls begin the Tiger Beat squeal. The guys hustle Vince out quickly before the throng has a chance to maul him.

The blackouts have traffic jammed up, and the Maserati just pokes along. E’s phone rings; it’s Ari. The opening numbers are coming in very, very strong. But Ari doesn’t want Vince to know for fear he’ll be disappointed if the momentum doesn’t build. However, E can’t quite keep the news to himself and Vince declares, “Let’s go buy toys!”

Turtle finds his way to the nearest Ducati dealership. He knows exactly what he wants, a nice red number. Vince polls E and Drama. Drama claims to be more of Harley man, and Vince vows that they’ll get his old Hog back with all the extra money that the movie will bring in. Vince certainly likes to take care of his own, he tells the salesman, “I’ll take four!” Just as the Ducati dealer is mentally spending his commission, the electricity goes out in the place.

Now what? The guys wait outside for a while and who comes by but the same two boys they spoke with in the theater. The kids admit to following Vince, and they invite the entourage to a party. Yup, a high school graduation party. The guys are about to pass. After all, the girls won’t be legal, but the high school kids mention the dealmaker — there’s a pool!

When they arrive at the party, Vince is looking forward to having an Almost Famous moment. Drama is anxious for the pool, and Turtle and E are looking for beer and NOT looking at girls (not much anyway). But their tour guides want the ultimate — to be accepted by the cool kids, and the cachet of arriving with the biggest action hero (of the month, at least) seems to be paying off. Later they report in that girls are actually talking to them!
