Uru: Ages Beyond Myst Returns

GameTap’s bringing back Uru: Ages Beyond Myst for its broadband game network. Uru Live, which will arrive around the holidays, is the online version of the popular game that had its plug pulled in 2004.

The title will become part of the many offerings on GameTap’s pay-per-play service that reads like a who’s who of great games. Uru Live will be offered as part of the regular monthly subscription fee of $9.95 a month.

GameTap’s version of Uru Live will feature regular updates from the company and developer Cyan Worlds to keep the content fresh and fun for players, as well. So it doesn’t sound like GameTap’s planning to just throw up the popular title and leave gamers without new challenges.

"The epic journey to D’ni will begin anew this holiday season on GameTap,” said Stuart Snyder, GameTap’s General Manager. “We are bringing back ‘Uru Live’ with new episodes, intriguing new worlds to explore, and a host of fresh features. ‘Uru Live’ was ahead of its time, and now that technology has caught up with this visionary game, GameTap and Cyan are teaming up to bring it into the bold new world of broadband entertainment.”
Check out GameTap.com for more information. The site has more than 500 titles up and running for the monthly rate plus some video content, too.
