Published May 22, 2006
The Da Vinci Code seems to be on everyone’s mind. A murder mystery centered upon a Catholic conspiracy to hide the truth about Jesus surviving Holy Week, marrying Mary Magdalene, and spawning a bloodline that survives to this day is a sure-fire way to draw out every kind of passion
Blogcritics the world over have been on the case with news and reviews of the Dan Brown book and the new Ron Howard/Tom Hanks movie:
Movie Review: The Da Vinci Code
The Da Vinci Code is as exhilarating and entertaining an adaptation as anyone could ask for out of Dan Brown’s best-selling novel.

Brown wrote a thriller plot to get people to read his non-fiction studies but the people often choose to look no further than the plot.

The film is a few bits short of being a complete code of success.

The hysteria about the book is far more entertaining than the book itself and should be encouraged as often as possible.

Movie Review: The Da Vinci Code
Low expectations have yielded positive feedback from moviegoers, but this mediocre film should have been an 8-hour mini-series.

i love the da vinci code. i haven't seen it yet tho...
mark Saleski you're dumb. The da vinci code hurts christans everywhere. well most of them some of them are as dumb as you. you're probably not a christian anyways. my moms a real chistian and she also doesnt support abortion either. but we are not talking about that.you should waste your money to watch that stupid film. it really is an anti-christ film. I hate Dan Brown- an anti-christ
i hate the da vinci code. i haven't seen it yet tho...
I love da Vinci, but I hate his code.
HUH?????? now you change your mind, mark saleski[what made you change your mind]. and duane, if you love da vinci but hate his code could explain that a little better. write back both of you.
YOU GUYS ITS BEEN A DAY ALREADY AND YOU HAVEN'T ANSWERED BACK.
Dancinpup..have you read the book or seen the movie yourself?
and a bit of a clue for you, yelling is not a good way to gain interaction or response...rather thoughtful expression of your viewpoint is more likely to be read and talked with than petulant, all caps demands
just trying to help
Excelsior?
i love the da vinci code. i haven't seen gonzo marx.
Gonzo speaks wisely Dancinpup. Heed his words.
Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid. It's only a movie.
i hate the davinci code. and i'm not gonna see it.
Dancinpup..still i ask, have you seen the film or read the book?
Excelsior?
I read the da Vinci Code but didn't understand it. Something about a museum and some old guy vacationing in Paris. I would rather vacation where they have the common courtesy to speak English. So I thought the book sucked eggs. Paris is really expensive and full of obknock ... obnoc ... obbnoctius .. umm ... rude tourists. Now, excuse me. I have to go find the schedule for the local theater to see when The Omen is playing. I think they go to Italy, a much better vaction spot. Although they don't speak English for some reason.
duane...stop...plz....OMG!
i call you killer , cuz ya slay me!
Excelsior?
I haven't seen or read the book but my mom said it is all junk
Dancinpup...did she read the book?
my point here is...unless you have read it, it is very difficult to take your opinion on it seriously...
that would be like someone who has never even seen a car talk about the difficulty of Le Mans racing and critique the Gran Prix
just sharing...
Excelsior?
I saw the movie, and now am thankful I never got the book. If the movie is anything like the book, all I can say is, it's VERY overrated. I would give the movie...55%.
for the Record, i have only read the book, will wait for the movie to come on cable...and Thought the book, formulaic and a bit shallow in character development...
if you are interested in a thesis quality work on the source material...try Holy Blood, Holy Grail , which is more fo an indexed dissertation putting out a few theories based on documented facts found, sprinkled with well marked conjecture and speculations amidst the documented information
in other words..."DaVinci Code" halfway decent beach read, or long plane ride...."HB,HG" informative treatise, denser reading if your will..but much more compelling and thought provoking...
Excelsior?

In real life she's Erin McMaster, but Cara de Pescado is one of the fortunate ones to be considered a

this is a stupid movie and book who ever watched it and read it are stupid idiots
