TONI CHILDS WAS THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO "GIRLFRIENDS". WITHOUT HER THE SHOW WILL NEVER BE THE SAME. SHE IS THE WHOLE REASON I WATCHED THE SHOW IN THE FIRST PLACE.

What is so wrong with the toni character being married to a Dew man; there are so many of inter racial marriages today that are so sucessful in real life. It is time holliwood stage a good and sucessful one on tv. BELIEVE IT OR NOT in the next twenty years or so there will no longer be a race problem; we will only have the human race. I LOVE THE IDEA AND SO DO A LOT OF MY FREINDS, THAT THE TWO CHARACTER TONI AND TODDwere in love. Toni did not marry Todd for mainly money she married him for love; because after she realise that he was broke she stayed.

Mr Brown it is obvious you are not a regular viewer of sex and the city.All the girls have multiple i repeat multiple sex with multiple men on their show; give me a break. Another white show is FRIENDS,MURPHY BROWN TO NAME A FEW. Because of this FRIENDS cast members was able to contract a deal of a million dollars an episode.TONI CHARACTER not only have constructive drama it alo have good comedy role. LEAVE TONI ALONE it is obvious sex will always be an entertaining factor for most sucessfull show. It would be nice to see toni back even to tell joan well done for finially getting a man to put up with all her craziness. I LOVE ALL THE MEMBERS OF THE GIRLFRIEND GROOP.

OH COME ON PEOPLE. the show was the best with toni. Now i won't say it completely suck but, ok yea ill say it completely sucks. Toni was such a dramatic character she added comedy to the show. And this is coming form a 14 YEAR OLD TEENAGER.I really enjoyed watching this show and especially Toni, her charcter. I refuse to watch the show now because Toni was the best thing that ever happend to Girlfriends

Just another thought about you who called Toni a role model, Girlfriends is on, Joan is in bed with the guy in the small apartment and she runs home to take a ... number 2. It made me think about how many men, have the cast members of girlfriends slept with, and how many comparable shows with white women portray them as to quote Don Imus "Nappy headed ho's." Even Maya "adultress, the ball player etc. ) Lynn ( straight up ho) Toni ( gold diggin ho,) Joan (with a 6 month then 3 month then no rule ho),William ( kind of feminine Black male also a ho) Looking at the bigger picture this is not a positive portrayal of Black women, let alone role models or women to idolize. Keep in mind I like the show but what white show have their women sleeping with so many men? ( and they have hundreds of shows) Not even Sex in the City. I see it as white writers subconsciously projecting what they think Black women are like. I am thankful Black actors and actresses have a job but PLEASE we don't need Black women trying to idolize characters of this show or music videos, to get respect you have to respect yourself.

Earlier this year, the cast was reportedly told that show's budget needed to be cut in order for it to be picked up by the newly formed CW Network. Outraged by the prospect of salary cuts, the four actresses, Tracee Ellis Ross (Joan), Golden Brooks (Maya), Persia White (Lynn) and Jill Marie Jones all agreed to work together and negotiate their contracts as a group. A show insider tells MediaTakeOut.com, however, that once the network put pressure on the ladies their coalition fell apart and Jill Marie Jones was left out on a limb. According to the insider, "Jill thought that they were sticking together so she rejected the network's lowball offer. Little did she know the others went behind her back and accepted their offers." When Jones confronted her co-stars about their failure to stand together, they were less than sympathetic. I am amazed that some of you wrote comments about how Toni Childs was your role model and idol ???? I like the show Girlfriends and respect all of the actors and actresses but I realize Toni Childs was a role that Jill Marie Jones played and it is SAD that any BLACK WOMAN would say a GOLD DIGGIN Character is their ROLE MODEL !!!! Please somebody explain why Toni is gone. I watched the show last night and it seems to me CW is trying to replace Toni with Monicas' character. Monica is no longer the rich B**** she is now more like Toni was. I hated it!!! Why can't they just leave well enough alone. If were up to me I'd do what Howard Stern is doing to American Idol by trashing the votes, I'd ask everyone to not watch the show. I bet those rating will bring her back.

I have been watching gilrfriends from the beginning and i'am so disappointed since Toni was taken off th show. I have four girlfriends and we watch the show because each character on that show represents one of us. It's such a shame that it had to end this way because i dont run to my television on monday nights to watch anymore. the show and the girlfriends have lost its sparks. I can see that you guys are also running out of any interesting story lines. I guess that means pretty soon the show will be cancelling. Toni aded to her character that je ne sais croix. Please bring her back, Joan is actually even more pathetic than usual without Toni.

It is difficult watching girlfriends and not see Toni. Toni enhances the other cast members characters especially. If a contractual agreement is not made to bring her back, this will be suicidal. The replacements for Toni can not and will never replace Toni's character.

i agree with everyone else who posted comments. Letting toni go was what ruin the entire show. toni was ''girlfriends''. she was the one who made the show what it is today. if it was my choice to get rid of one of the characters, it would be william and monica because i just don't get they're sense of humor.
