Finally the feature we've all been waiting for since the iPod launched, pitch control, is coming to the iDJ2. As the pitch control isn't a native function of the iPod it's still up in the air as to how well this will function. This may be the make or break function of the iDJ2. If Numark has managed to get this right they should have a popular product on their hands.

Sadly we won't know until August how it actually works out or how much it will cost. Its predecessor ran for about $250 but this is a significant upgrade of functionality from the first iDJ.

When the unit does get released in August I'll have a full hands-on review of the iDJ2.

• Integrated iPod slot with adjustable mount
• Seamless looping
• Pitch control
• Large backlit display with revolutionary user interface

The iDJ2 is a worthless product, DO NOT waste your money on this. The features are great, but the unit is completely unstable, it shut down on me in the middle of a gig, and left me with nothing. It has all kinds of bugs and glitches, and when you contact Numark they say that there is nothing wrong with it, even though it kept freezing, shutting down, etc. Save youself the headache, time, and money, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!
