E3 2006: E3 Week Game Releases Are Slow

The hottest news in video games will remain in Los Angeles this week as the new releases for most platforms are more than light. The PC remains in the lead with the most new titles and once again there’s no next-gen action. The biggest news on the horizon comes next week when the controversial Da Vinci Code makes its way to several platforms.

This week, however, does have a few bright spots in the new release arena. The biggest title it appears is perhaps SiN Episode 1: Emergence for the PC. And, Atari once again is recycling old titles and trying to make them new again. On the upside, Atari has some pretty big news coming out of the E3.

Overall though, here’s hoping the E3 action is a lot more awe inspiring than this week’s game releases.

Titles coming out this week include:

PlayStation 2

  • Over the Hedge, May 9
  • PS2 Controller Guitar Hero SG Guitar

PlayStation Portable
  • UMD Family Guy: Freakin’ Sweet, May 9
  • NBA Ballers: Rebound, May 9
  • Nightwarriors Darkstalkers Alpha, May 12
  • Nightwarriors Darkstalkers Omega, May 12

Xbox
  • Over the Hedge, May 9

PC
  • Atari Arcade Collection, May 8
  • Atari Flying Bundle, May 8
  • Desperados 2: Cooper’s Revenge, May 8
  • Ultra Sudoku & Ultra Kakuro, May 8
  • Over the Hedge, May 9
  • Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends, May 9
  • SiN Episode 1: Emergence, May 9

Game Cube
  • Over the Hedge, May 9

Game Boy Advanced
  • Tringo, May 9

I'm only interested in SiN Episodes, but still not sure if it's worth it. The videos I've seen so far it only looks like a HL2 mod.
