Marilyn Monroe Exhibit Exposed As $8.75 Million Lie
Published April 14, 2006
Happy belated 80th birthday Mr. Hugh Hefner! We find it very sad, that you have kept so quiet about all this - we know that Mark Roesler is also your lawyer. We just find it very sad that you recently apologized to Jessica Alba, but what about the nasty interview and the nastier picture of Marilyn that Playboy published? Are you now going to rest next to Miss Alba, instead next to Miss Monroe some day? We just wonder.
After his first story, Mark Bellinghaus received thousands of emails from upset fans of Marilyn Monroe from all over the world.
One email especially gave him great hope. A young girl, still in high school, who does not seem to know the brutality of showbiz, and who want to become the next Marilyn Monroe, wrote:"I pray for you and your mission every night. For the defense of Marilyn who I love so dearly, and believe you me, the truth will always come to light!"
We believe her and we are not going to disappoint her, or Marilyn Monroe.

well forgot to mention, a lovely colorphoto of mm and jose bolanos you have in your article!!
Your persistence is paying off...stand strong and the truth will prevail. I think Ms. Monroe is watching you with a big smile on her face!
Dear Mark,
Impressed with your research, determination, collection, website, and your love for Marilyn. I have always detested the exploitation of Marilyn by Ms. Anna Strasberg and countless other people, but this is really so low and disrespectful.
This scam should be stopped indeed. And these people should be ashamed of their selves. Hope you will succeed.
Carolien (from Belgium)
Hi Mark,
Before perusing your blogs, I was unaware of the extent of the scamming, cheating, and outright lies associated with the Marilyn Estate items. As you mentioned, the collector's circle is small and most members know at least a few others that have authentic Marilyn articles and I was wondering where all of these "new" items suddenly popped up from. Its an outrage that the public is being fleeced by the perpetrators of this ongoing scam...what is even worse is the "Good Ol' Boy" network that allows it to continue, either by remaining silent or by climbing onto the scam bandwagon by telling lies and discredits of their own. I paid dearly for the items I bought at the Christie's auction and I'm sickened by the ease that some can seemingly take everyday items, make a false claim (or cloudy explanation of it's origins) about them, and display/sell these as authentic.
The rumbling that is heard in the Hollywood Hills isn't seismic activity, it is simply Marilyn rolling over in her grave over the terrible sideshow that has grown like a weed surrounding her short life and personal items. I commend you in carrying the torch in keeping Marilyn's estate authentic and original...most others would rather roll over and get on the party wagon that lines their pockets with hard earned cash from an adoring public that really does love Marilyn and the things she did.
One can only hope this charade will be stopped, but it seems it is increasingly hard to fight big money and the politically connected. Keep up the fight!!
Happy Passover, Happy Easter! And a very special THANK YOU to my co-author Ernest W. Cunningham, without his support and engagement all this would not have been possible. We will both try to answer to comments, but we will not engage in any "catfights", provoced by anonymous posters, like it happened in my first blog.
That first blog did so much, it is almost unbelievable. WE literally stopped the release of the biggest lie in form of a "biography" by a woman who came out of nowhere and is nobody in the MM-history, we had the people behind the shameful exhibit "refresh" their collection, by simply pulling item after item, highlight after highlight.
We made a famous TV SHOW edit out a phony, yet a statement was never made! They will have to do this at some point. CBS, what do you think you are doing?
Please watch Otto and June "up close and personal" by clicking on the very first link ("Marilyn Monroe-the exhibit" on the Queen Mary), as there is a CBS report with the STARS of the show. The "marionettes" are working and deliever their lines. The discribed Hair Curler set is in there as well! The FAKE "pink movie gown", the MD coat, an absolute JOKE!
I have been threatened with a lawsuit, by the lawyer that is discribed in our article above.
If you click under "Mission" on my Website (URL) you can read that these people claim to win every lawsuit.
Well, there are surprises out there, I am sure of that.
We were so surprised to find a ship-load full of junk, declared as MARILYN MONROE'S. And Mrs. Anna Strasberg has been quiet all along. Too quiet.
The BEVERLY HILLS COURIER printed a long article, written by Sherry Dodd, on this toppic yesterday. I will post it soon to my Website.

To #1johAn:
Greetings to Holland and you. Thank you for supporting us so much in this matter! You bet that your country will be saved of the attempt of being screwed by this hoax exhibit-scam!
You will make sure, johAn, that your country's press will attack them, should they ever set food into the wonderful Holland!
This net of support is already working.
I am so glad that you changed your mind about the bad books that have been written about Marilyn Monroe. This was the hope of June DiMaggio/Popp/Otto, to throw out an aweful product full of nasty lies created on a helpless Marilyn who can not get up and out of her crypt she is trying to rest, and defend herself! We have to do this for her. You, and I and all of us. If she was our daughter, our mom, our wife, our grandmother, our aunt, our girlfriend, our teacher, our loved one, we naturally would do anything possible to succeed with her defense. Just imagine that she really is all of that. And we will be successful.
And then Marilyn will be finally be able to rest in PEACE!
To #3Ruthie:
Thank you Ruthie, for checking in. Please forward this matter to your famous contacts that you mentioned in your email. We need more powerful people to close this crime down. Immediately and BEFORE they pack up to scam another City, another country! Thank you so much.
To#2 johAn: I will pass your compliment on to the wonderful Kim Goodwin, who is a great artist; we appreciate his great support. Thanks
To #4Carolien: Greetings to Belgium and what johAn is doing you may as well do in Belgium! These people behind the exhibit are seriously just hoping that we are simply "going away", give up and stop, but that will never happen!
They have tainted the memory of Miss Monroe for all of us with that disgusting Playboy interview, yet "hef" never apologized for that. How can he possibly believe that he will "rest" some day, when he was just spilling out some trash over the legacy Marilyn Monroe. He discribed himself as a friend of Marilyn Monroe, yet he met her as often as I did: NEVER!

To Anna Markitell:
Dear Anna! So good to have you here, and you have all the rights to be upset, after you paid like so many others BIG BUCKS, that went right into the famous pockts of Mark A. Roesler and Anna Strasberg.
Your comment is so true and wonderful. Please join us to go against them all. I know your time is spare. Every little gesture in this matter can make a difference and bring us to success against these evil people.
FRIENDS THORUGH MARILYN!
Two things: One, this isn't a blog it's a blog post.
Second, I believe in the power of blogs but this would have been so much better written had it not been so self-serving.
This is a response to a criticism of "self-serving" blogging.
Look at it this way: suppose you had been the fortunate person who was able to pay a million dollars for the "Happy Birthday" dress . . . and you open the newspaper one day and there's an advertisment for an exhibit of Marilyn Monroe items . . . and you go and pay $22.95 to get in to see it (because you're puzzled) . . . and there is a tacky white dress with colored rhinestones glued all over it . . . and you spot a small label that says "Made in Taiwan." So you get pissed. You demand to speak to the manager . . . who hastens to assure you that the dress is indeed the million dollar gown, that Marilyn gave it to her Chinese cook (because it fit her better than it fit Marilyn).
You start to get pissed off, so they throw you out of the exhibit, threatening legal action if you dare suggest that the gown -- you paid a million dollars for it, remember? -- is not the real thing. So you think of hiring a lawyer, of calling the cops, of calling your friend at the New York Times. But then you decide --naw, let it go, that would just be self-serving.
A P.S. to what I just wrote, to the "self-serving" comment.
The lawyer that you call tells you that, sure, he'll take the case, but he'll need at least a $500,00 retainer. You go to the Police, but they say it's not their job. You go to the Mayor's office but it's not his job. City attorney? not his job. Better Business Bureau? Ha! You think this is nonsense? read Mark's blog again.
Read it again, and say Thank God for Blog!
To #13Vole Killer: We will pass on your true comment to the likes of Anna Strasberg and Mark A. Roesler. Don't you agree that feeding of the dead, an getting a great life that way, is sort of morbid?
Also: are you only killing voles or also some famous "gerbils"?
FRIENDS THROUGH MARILYN!
If you've followed the nonsense and outrage surrounding MM as long as I have, you start to see stories repeated and changed and amplified and made sillier.
Now that the Marilyn/John Crawford affair has been resusitated and recirculated (thanks to John Miner and Playboy and other leeches) I
predict that it is just a matter of time before the obvious truth surfaces -- that Joan Crawford killed Marilyn after she spurned her advances. I signed over all the rights to you.
I haven't copyrighted this story, so feel free to run with it.
Thank you again, Mark and Mr.Cunningham for bringing the truth to light. Marilyn was exploited practically from the womb until her untimely death. I am 100% positive she did not leave the majority of her estate with the Strasburgs' to pad their wallets. Marilyn said in her final days "...Please don't make me a joke. End the interview with what I believe. I don't mind making jokes, but I don't want to look like one. I want to be an artist, an actress with integrity." and Otto has made a very lucritive joke of Ms.Monroe. Still in death, Marilyn needs a champion to remind the world that she was a real person. Thank you for being that.
"...Hollywood's a place where they'll pay you a thousand dollars for kiss, and fifty cents for your soul..."-Marilyn Monroe
To #14Ernest W. Cunningham:
Oh, Ernest you hit it right on! lol And you should also mention Otto's famous attempt to declare a $4,50 ebay rug in pink and aweful dimensions, as a "Happy birthday Mr. President back up dress." Since he did not buy the real deal, the dress discribed by you, of course.
What people should know to understand the story behind it is, that the famous $1.26 million dress was made by Jean Louis, and MM paid from her own pocket $12K for it! Tell me one single reason, why she would "back up and out" of that dream in rhinestones, when she had Otto's pink and very ugly choice. She was sewn into this historic gown; I know, she should have listened to Robert W. Otto, the "famous Monroe historian", and people would have looked in disbelieve, like saying "get that clown off the stage". No, Mr. Otto, that is one of the stories you created with June, that stink beyond disgrace and shame!
FRIENDS THROUGH MARILYN!
To #20Heather Monroe:
No, Thank YOU, Heather! And Thank you for your sweet email and the photos yo sent. Was it hard to read through a jungle of evidence against a corporation who is about to scam the world with it's fake product?
You should pursue the tracking of your real last name! Maybe you actually are somehow related to MM? Please let us know. I also read that there is some evidence that Marilyn Monroe was somehow related to the decendents of the fifth American President of the United States(the Monroe doctrine). So you never know and today in times of internet research you can even track down June DiMaggio's real age! What a fun that was...!
Correct! Otto definetely made Marilyn Monroe definetely look like a joke with those Halloween costumes and scary underwear on display, dresses as big as tents and fabric made in the Disco celebrating 70's! Please tell your friends all about this, Heather. You said in your email to me that you live in Marilyn's childhood neigborhood, and carrying her last name, that is quite something. Wonderful.
FRIENDS THOUGH MARILYN!
to 13. "time for some people to get a life" ,
well why should "some people" get a life when they are passionate for a thing? it may not be your thing, but that goes for every passion people have. its really a comment
from short minded people i think. what you stand for may not be what others stand for. that goes for so many things.
and when one has a passion for mm and care about the way she is treated , well why does it mean that they should get a live? mm is a big part of my life and i am not ashamed of that.
is it wrong to care for something/somebody? luckily some( well many that is) still do for mm.
anyway, besides the comment above, i like to say that anna strasberg ofcourse cannot do anything about the fact that she inherited the mm estate from lee. she was lucky to get it and can make $$ of it that easy. but its another thing how she deals with it. if she would have treated mm with a bit more ( a lot more that is) respect she would not be critised this much i think. its not about the fact that she inherited the mm estate, that is something she got from her husband, but its the way she behaves and how she makes big $$ on mm. she could have treated mm with a lot more dignity.
James Monroe was born in Westmoreland, Virginia before the US became a country. He was born on April 28, 1758.
He was one of seven Presidents from Virginia.
James Monroe was an Episcopalian.
Monroe served in the American Revolution.
James Monroe is best remembered for the Monroe Doctrine.
The White House was still being rebuilt when he became president. On January 1, 1818, the president and his wife held a public reception marking the reopening of the White House. The White House was painted white the year Monroe became president.
Monroe was the first President that was inaugurated outdoors.
James Monroe was President during the First Seminole War, 1817-1818
President Monroe was the first President who had been a US Senator.
James Monroe ran unopposed for his second term.(1820)
The U.S. took over Florida from Spain during his term.
Monroe had several pets while in the White House. He had sheep dogs and a black spaniel that belonged to his granddaughter.
In the election of 1820, Monroe received every electoral vote but one. A New Hampshire delegate wanted Washington to be the only president elected unanimously.
He became president after more than 40 years of public service. Long public service made him a poor man, and in 1830, he was forced to move in with his daughter. He died there on July 4, 1831.
He was the third of five presidents to die on the Fourth of July. John Adams and Thomas Jefferson died five years before. Monroe died of heart failure.
James Monroe is buried in Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Va. He was 73 years and 67 days old.
To # 22johAn: Absolutely. Anna Strasberg could have helped her step daughter Susan, when she was battleing cancer, but she did not. She could have helped her step gand daughter Jennifer or her step son John Strasberg, but again--she did not.
She could have saved the entire load of MM artifacts instead of selling them on auction to the highest bidder. She made a mistake and must have realized that, since Otto is only a "used vehicle" in their plan to re-create whtat was sold 6 1/2 years ago.
That is not possible. Not even for the powerful and fierce Anna Strasberg who seem to call the courts her "recreation area"!
She could have kept the $1,26million dress and traveled around the world with all the itmes she sold, she certainly could have made millions and millions with the real pieces! I would have been the greatest supporter of an exhibit like that.
But that train has left many years ago. And I am just pointing that out to the public. You do know what you know about MM, johAn and people like you have not to defend themself towards negative misers who really have no life themself. They are jumping in anonymous comments on others, like myself, who spent 5 month for this case, so far. No holidays, no vacation. If they were about to pursue something, they would look first, but unsuccessful, to get a life.
FRIENDS THROUGH MARILYN!
I just have a problem with this line:
The power of the new blog media has found it's first big victory, a triumph, that has all the ingredients to make it to the mainstream media and to be a huge success. You make it sound like nobody has ever done anything great with blogs before. I think Dan Rather is in agreement with me on this. Hence my sentiment that this piece is more about the author than the cause.
Great follow up, thank you for the new details and the new insights unveiling this fraud. Great job Ernest and Mark. Congratulations for your success so far defending Marilyn's legacy, I'm sure you will reach further and I'm sure Marilyn is thanking you both from the heavens.
Keep up the great work
Ernest: "suppose you had been the fortunate person who was able to pay a million dollars for the "Happy Birthday" dress ..."
That was your first mistake -- shelling out any kind of money for some dead person's stuff.
To #25 Matthew T. Sussman:
I understand your point exactly, Matthew. But in our original version we also stated that I was under attack by the mentioned Roesler team, and by anonymous posters, they tried to destroy this mission, this defense of Marilyn Monroe. It is easy to say negative things about my blog, what do you like about their idea of travelling for the next 12 years around the world and scamming people who believe that the Otto junk is real! What do you think about that?
I know I am no big shut like Mark A. Roesler. But I hold the proof in my hand, that he is a criminal, just like all of them. What do you think of that?
How would you feel, facing a treat of a lawsuit in which he is saying that he will sue me for a lot of money! When he made tons of it, by a fake exhibit in his own town he is living in (Indianapolis). I am not afraid, don't get me wrong, but please tell me, Matthew, what would you do? Would you return the domain name, just to avoid trouble, or would you keep it and fight them?
Oh and, let me just share with the other readers some of your awesome lines you have produced:
"While I hate to give a hot annoying woman attention (such as writing articles like this), perhaps it's for the best she gives a last-ditch effort to have a story about her appear on the front of ESPN.com. That way, she builds up a false sense of security that she has redeeming qualities that aren't nestled in a 34DD baseball-patterned brassiere."
That of course is great writing. I agree.
Respect. And so much more important than a stupid blog about a $million scam.
To #26Roberto:
Thanks, and we certainly will do what we can. Please support this mission.

To#27Matthew T. Sussman: I read your Url and it seems like you are a sports reporter. Did we offend your idealogy about Joe DiMaggio by any chance? You seem to love baseball. This is something I have no clue about, I admit that! But could it be, that you have not much knowledge about collecting Marilyn Monroe memorabilia, and therefor, you are board with reading our article. Cause I could not even go half way through yours with asking myself "Do you have to go to college" to keep those names apart?"
I mean, I am sure if you ask those young baseball players, they hardly would know who Marilyn Monroe was, except that she was blond and sexy maybe. Oh, and married to Joe DiMaggio, maybe too!
And do you know Dan Rather personally, cause that isn't cool to opinionate him. I did not use his name--our first blog was compared to "Rathergate" and that by MSNBC clicked. Got it?
FRIENDS THROUGH MARILYN & JOE DIMAGGIO--BUT NOT THROUGH JUNE DIMAGGIO!
Joe DiMaggio was indeed a great player and a holder of one of the most untouchable streaks in sports (getting a hit in 56 consecutive games, Pete Rose came the closest with 44), but I'm not really that much of a Yankees fan and therefore not offended.
But let's go to sports for a second and this will make sense to you. One of my favorite players is Diamondbacks outfielder Luis Gonzalez. A few years ago on eBay there was an auction for an everyday item that was linked to him -- a piece of chewing gum. What we're dealing with is that someone spent $3,000 on gum just because a major league ballplayer chewed it.
You just about nailed it that I know about as much as Marilyn Monroe than you do about sports, but look at the parallels. They're uncanny.
I think idiocy derives from any kind of desire or amazement for ordinary items that belonged to or was in the mouth of famous people. Collectibles in particular have no real good entity to certify them. Just ask the state of Ohio and the Bureau of Workman's Compensation after they shelled over $50 million for rare coins, only to have their coin dealer steal money from them.
Besides, memorabilia shouldn't be bought and sold and gawked at. Look at the name -- memorabilia. What memories would you have of Gonzo's gum? That he once chewed it? A more important memorabilia should be something like the first foul ball you ever caught at a game. I'm still waiting for mine, and I wouldn't part with it for all the Mickey Mantle rookie cards in the world.
But it's funny that you brought up my Anna Benson comment. Just another pin-up girl who's in my eyes humiliated a ballplayer. Kris Benson is just a regular guy but I think Joltin' Joe was more of a public figure. Maybe if more baseball wives were more like Annie Savoy (Bull Durham) there wouldn't be such a commotion over them.
Wow! You see, Matthew--you have so much passion and knowledge about this, it is amazing and it sounds very interesting. So that Anna Benson is maybe compareable with some of those "exotic birds" in the Monroe drama-sage.
And regarding so called "memorabilia", I totally agree, what you said, and want to add the strange sadly so trendy memorabilia, like the Mary on pizza, Jesus on this or that (perfect on time on an Easter egg!), eBay makes it possible.
But think about where the idea originated I would say thousands of years back, when people were burried and some of their belongings were burried with them. A mummies chamber--undiscovered for thousands of years, is ultimately MUMMIE-MEMORABILIA! It may sound crazy, but think about it. Then the pieces of clothing of Saints, or even pieces of their bones. The Church calls it "Relics".
cont...
It only takes TWO: when in 1999, at the Christie's auction in NYC, the bid started to go up, for six photos, of MM's NYC home, showing her dog and her maid cleaning the place. That one guy right behind us. Sitting with a face, that I have never accountered before. The other person was on the telephone. It started slow, and we all that "whatever--this will be over soon; come on six without even MM in it! But here comes the deal. They were obviously taken by Miss Monroe herself, and two people wanted them. So the price went up and the final hammer landed under applause a final bid of: $222,500(no kidding!) RBON was the winner, of course. (Believe it or not! LOL)
The company name: RIPLEY'S BELIEVE IT OR NOT!
cont...
I am more like a souccer fan and I do love sports, don't get me wrong--I was glued to the TV during the last Olympics and even was proud, I admit, when Germany won for the second time the medal rank in a row.
Sports is competition and as a former athlete I will think in competition, and what is wrong with that?
Robert W. Otto is not competition to me at all! He is just a lausy excuse for a charlatan who almost got away with his disknowledge of Marilyn! Please go to the first link and watch the CBS video. He just says something, and has no clue what his mouth is spitting out.
And you should be really mad at this June DiMaggio creation of them. She was never ever mentioned in any book--ever written about Marilyn Monroe AND OR Joe DiMaggio.
She simply did not exist.
And that is worse than a piece of chewing gum that sold for tons of money! It is just money. But we are talking about the character assasination of Marilyn Monroe.
That is changing the history on important information resources, like online sites.
What do you think?
you know, people wanting to own stuff that belonged to others, like stars and celebrities. well , thats a way of getting as close to someone as one can get i guess. especially when they have died.
having something that once belonged to someone you love or admire, well that way its a kind of getting close to or something like that with that person. it might sound strange, but i think its a way to have a piece of that person you admire. may be weird to some, but not to others. and people can do crazy things when its about their loved ones ect.
( well that about the chewing gum is indeed a bit weird i have to say).
and about the photos of maf( marilyn her dog) mark wrote about, well that suprised me also that they went so high at auction.when i spotted them in the auction catalogue, i really loved those cute photos. i even thought that might be something i maybe could get also at the auction and the estimated price was a price it might sell for. turned out to be muuuuuuuuuch higher.
probably her dog is loved that much also, hahhaha.
johAn grimmius.
Ernest and Mark
GREAT JOB!
I enjoyed reading the blog and posts and think that you have done a great job in backing up any claims you orginally made and confirming the needs of the mission. As for some of the posts I understand peoples amazement at how some people may wish to own pieces from a celebrity and how the photos and evidence is incredibly important AND how some people may find this curious and possibly a little weird but we all have our own quirks and passions and I think the world keeps turning because we are all so different. Mark and Ernest have done a great job in defending the mission and the reasons why the exhibit needs to be closed down. I for one know that to create a comprehensive blog takes not only time and dedication but also passion and belief. All of which the authors have in abundance. I salute and admire you both for your passion and dedication and your sheer determination to pursue the truth and out the fraudsters. Please continue your pursuit and passion and I back you all the way.
To #36johAn: lol! You are funny! Yes, definetely. Anna Strasberg made a fortune in recent auctions when she sold Marilyn's last dog's tags and even her carry on bag.
Totally agree with what you say in your comment, but it should be also pointed out, that people who have no items of Marilyn at all, are also betrayed by the owner of her Estate. After this whole scandal, I regret to have started collecting all together. I just updated my website where I am talking about my collection. Not to show off, but to show THEM what a real collection "is".
That man who talks like he is on a "trip" or something, he has no idea what he really is talking about. Did you check out the first link, the one by CBS? That is classic--it contains the blue box of hair roller and all the other fake trash.
Now I really would like to know if they are seriously trying to move into another town and do their shameful tour de fake.
I just thought of a new title for that "exhibit".
How about:
"Marilyn Monroe-the exhibit scandal"
This way they might even succeed! lol

From Holland to England, in a flash! lol So nice to have you back, darling! (I know you hardly hear that from me..)Guess I'm in the Easter mood or something...
We almost thought you lost interest in this battle of mud and slinging, lol.(nope--we are trying to behave this time!)
I will pass on the compliments to Ernest. Due to his strong engagement in this, he has to pursue some other projects.
OH, great news you all: we are awaiting the Long Beach Press Telegram article, that was promised for tomorrow! If you set your google alerts to Marilyn Monroe, you will also receive the online version of the cover story.
And we are ready to roll again.
This time they can not brush us off in the City Hall of Long Beach!
I am glad you like the work we have done--I put in tons and tons of links--for example if you want to view the plaque with Mark A. Roesler's name on it--click and you see the whole article that talks about it and where the money came from! Screwed fans nd visitors in Indianapols! Nice, what?
You can see him in his silver Ferrari and it's J.DEAN license plate (click on: "You always" on top of the two purses carrying Roesler)--so "cool" waving "Good Bye" to the camera while he is speeding off; Gee do we wish that he would never come back, or what?
If Anna Strasberg should be able to cling on to the Estate of Marilyn Monroe, she certainly has to "ditch" her famous lawyer. What he did, with his statement in the Los Angeles Times, is absolutely his END!
Glad you enjoy the new blog, Sarah.
FRIENDS THROUGH MARILYN!
Here is an email that I received just yesterday, and need to share with all of you, as it is an updated view at the FRAUDULENT EXHIBIT, from a MM-fan, who just went there. So I guess they put back that horrendous wig? After it was gone, and now the sun glasses are gone as well? Is it a constant "refreshiing-game", that "$8,75million exhibit? lol Where are the million dollar objects? Mark Roesler and his cars are NOT on display!
I think it is telling enough, here you go:
Having been a Marilyn fan for about 12 years (and I'm only 23 years
old to begin with), I just visited the Queen Mary exhibit this afternoon. I
left feeling severely disappointed in the rushed 30 minute guided tour.
Although there were a few interesting pieces (that I believed at the time
were authentic), the majority of the exhibit was filled with cheap tacky
representations of Marilyn.....plates, dolls, wine bottles. Luckily, I
bought the package deal ticket that also allowed me admittance to the
Titanic exhibit, which was amazing and unlike the Marilyn exhibit, done in
very good taste. Honestly, if I had spent $23 on the Marilyn exhibit alone,
I would have felt robbed.
I visited the Christie's auction preview in Beverly Hills in 1999 and,
as you mention on your site, I really felt the aura and energy of Marilyn in
the room while viewing the items. It was an amazing and indescribable
feeling. The same can not be said for the Queen Mary exhibit. When the
tour was over, I don't know how else to describe my feelings other than
something about the exhibit just didn't feel right.
I don't really personally know any big Marilyn fans myself, so when I
got home today, I googled the exhibit, hoping to find the opinions of other
fans regarding this tour. I really just wanted to see if anyone else
thought it was as bad as I did. Luckily, I quickly found your site. All I
can really say is that I am shocked. And the fact that most of these items
are fake now seems so obvious to me. The tennis raquet puzzled me, the
blonde wig did indeed look too new, as did many of the clothing items. And
the fact that so many people will spend their money to see this junk is
completely unsettling. My tour guide actually went out of her way to point
out that ridiculous Marilyn troll, letting us all know how rare it was and
that it took Otto 6 years to track one down once he found out it existed. A
lot of time was also spent on the Marilyn wine. Christie's it is not.
It may be worth it to note that the mannequin at the entrance to the
exhibit (pictured on your site wearing the "authentic" pink dress from
"Gentleman Prefer Blondes") is now wearing a brown fur coat with no
description of where it came from. The hair rollers were not on display at
all. As mentioned on your site, these were always heralded as one of the
biggest draws when the collection first went on display. I also do not
recall seeing the white cat eye sunglasses pictured on the site. Have these
items been removed as a result of your work into investigating the true
authenticity of these items? I hope so.
Thank you for working so hard to keep the memory of Marilyn alive. I
will continue to check your site for updates. I plan on passing the word
along to as many people as I can. --S
THIS IS REALLY MY FAVORITE LINE! I ALMOST FEEL OFF MY CHAIR WHEN I READ THIS! MY DOGS WOKE UP AND LOOKED SURPRISED AS I WAS LAUGHING OUT LOUD:
"My tour guide actually went out of her way to point
out that ridiculous Marilyn troll, letting us all know how rare it was and
that it took Otto 6 years to track one down once he found out it existed."
and: that doll always looked to me sickening.
I am glad that they showed some heart for that scary life size think with a face, that wore the FAKE pink gown!
It was constantly standing in a draft after all. Just like the people behind that scam.
"It may be worth it to note that the mannequin at the entrance to the
exhibit (pictured on your site wearing the "authentic" pink dress from
"Gentleman Prefer Blondes") is now wearing a brown fur coat with no
description of where it came from."
From June DiMaggio of course! She has severe case of THRIFT STORE SHOPPING ADDICTION!
Mark
thankyou for your kind comments and it is great to be back! You never lost me or my support but I felt a need to distance myself from the previous (shall we say...?) 'difficulties' of the other blog. I felt that the posts were becoming personal and tarnishing the good work you had put in and taking the shine away from the real problem and mission.
I sincerely hope we do not get a repeat of that here.
Thanks for the tip about the news article am very interested to read what they have to say. With regard to A Strasberg I don't think we will ever hear from her directly and possibly the same goes for the 'others' involved. I feel they like to think they are keeping what they might call 'a dignified silence' but instead such silence only begs more questions and queries.
As for M Roseler's car and the like I have no time for people who flash such wealth. I do not resent people who have money, I generally admire their hard work to achieve their status but I feel it is in very bad taste to flaunt such acquisitions and wealth, I'm from the UK not LaaLaa land and so don't have a great deal of experience in seeing such wealth flashed out to be admired so maybe I'm speaking a little out of turn, but flashy people flaunting such wealth irritates me and make me wonder what else there is to such a person?
Mark ....my support as ever
Sarah!
You are so right with what you are saying, and I wish I could have just gone away for a few weeks, but I could NOT! Christmas, Easter, all the other holidays in between simply did not exist for us!
This scam has passed it's FIVE MONTH mark and the ice I discribed was holding out longer than anybody expected. (thanks to the press who fail to support us, as they were all afraid of LAWSUITS by that "tyran for the dead." Some powerful names to back up this scandal, seemed to have worked for them and thus far.
But now we can listen to the famous Donna Sommer classic again and live up to it!
It's title: "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!"
Now, the attacks from the other, now old lol blog have given us a glimpse to what will face us in court. That was a boot-camp if you will, for all of us who are supporting this mission against the multi million dollar character assassination of America's most beautiful movie legend!
Mark A.Roesler may be a powerful lawyer with all the contacts in the universe, but he can not stop me from loving Marilyn Monroe and trying to defend her against them all!
I loved her when I was a little boy, way before Roesler had the Estate. When he was still fixing roofs!
There must be a deeper reason for former Estate lawyer Roger Richman's comment about the 6foot 7 or however tall he is! That made his comment even better:
In the 12/04 issue of Los Angeles magazine, Richman refuted Mark Roesler's me-first claims, calling him "a liar and a dwarf and a scumbag."
Yes, that is how he started. He owned a roof company.
What a great career. Oh, I know what they will say. I am so jealous. But of what should I be jealous? To be mistaken for MAGNUM PI?
I urge you ALL to watch the telling it all web cam interviews with all the people discribed in our blogs.
Robert W. Otto has all these tales about the items he is holding into the disinterested and seemingly strange lawyer's face.
Month', years later Roesler claims to have "appraised" that junk-yard of thrift store items behind glass?
And THAT he did in the LOS ANGELES TIMES.
He could not have done us a bigger favor with that boo-boo.
Amazing what people are able to become from owning a roof company, to appraising a multi million dollar exhibit. And of course backing it up and being "in" with it as a SPONSOR, HELPS!
We say it again: "MARILYN MONROE-THE EXHIBIT" and THE FINAL BLOW!
FRIENDS THOUGH MARILYN!
I think people shoudl be more aware of scam artist like the ones who portray suck iligitimate pieces of monroe! it pisses me off and as much as i would like to personally attack the fraudulent artists and the con artist i am going to respect mr.bellinghaus! i will definitely face this in court if i have to! please save the legacy of marilyn monroe!
MARK
If only there were more people on this planet with the integrity of Mark Bellinghaus to dedicate so much of there own time looking after
the legacy of the lovely sensitive being that is
Marilyn Monroe as she is not here in the fisical
world to defend her self, so thank's Mark keep up the good fight and expose all of the fake pedeling sharlatens so that the ordinery people of this world can get to see authentic items of
there beloved Marilyn.
Yours - Edward Johnes.
Turn on your TV to channel 4 NBC if you live in LA RIGHT NOW. They are covering the exhibit on Queen Mary and the idea it is a fraud. Jill Adams
In case you missed the news... stay tunned to the 5pm news, 6pm news or 11pm news... they will be sure to run this story again today. It was a short piece but a very good one and certainly left the viewer with the opinion that the exhibit was in doubt of being authentic. Jill Adams.
MORE breaking news... the Long Beach Press finally came out with their article...
And it read this quote:
"Mark Roesler, chief executive officer of CMG Worldwide, the intellectual property rights company that represents the Estate of Marilyn Monroe, supports the exhibit and first told the Press-Telegram that he the items are authentic.
But later in the interview Roesler said, "There are questions being raised. We have concerns. At this time, we still believe that most, if not all, of the items are authentic. If we can prove something isn't authentic, we would take the appropriate legal action."
HUM..... interesting....
anywaY... full article can be found here...
I want to thank Mark Bellinghaus, Ernest Cunnigham and Greg Schreiner for being so dilligent in making this news get out here and being seen. It takes a village. Jill Adams.
Thanks for the heads up and let me add, that CBS just interviewed Ernest and me. I showed them the fake 1974 hair curlers that are mentioned so prominently in Phillip Zonkel's interview. hair, but at this point we will see what they are going to show.
It is kind of strange, as CBS really supported this whole "$10million collection" (as they said in November of 2005), and now they are the first ones talking about the scam?
Well, we will see and let's be hopeful.
At this stage I am just exploring my legal remedies.
So if you got a chance, watch the local CBS news at 2:30, and later on, like 5:00 etc.(night)
This is just the beginning of the end of the biggest scandal attached to Marilyn Monroe.
It took us 5 exhausting month and the power of blog is present, as it made them change their display.
They are still trying to publish that dreadful book. Cause Frey's book also sold so well, I guess.
Please all of you, who read this and have a ticket for that exhibit--hang on to it, as you may soon will get your money back!
FRIENDS THROUGH MARILYN!
This just in: The famous German magazine "STERN" (they discovered the so called Hitler diaries and reported on that scandal and hoax in numerous issues).
I am delighted to announce to you you, that their LA based reporter just gave us a green light for an report and interview in the traditional magazine.
It is especailly important, as Marilyn was number ous times on the front cover in the most beautiful way looking, of course.
So that should cover Germany, in terms of a fraudulent exhibit travelling there, then johAn is taking care for the Netherlands and Sarah is warning England! Anybody in France who wants to do this job? lol
Oh, and I just got another letter from some concerned lawyer who works for Mr. Roesler.
They want to know what happened. Well, they will hear from us soon, very very soon. All of them.
Enough is enough.
FRIENDS THROUGH MARILYN!
Mark...
just a quick note to you and Ernest to say that you both looked very good on the CBS news and came off very well. It was a good report and again the reporter left the viewer with the impression that the exhibit was less than authentic.
Well done. Cheers to you both. Jill Adams.
THE CURLERS;
1) The Long Beach Press quotes June DiMaggio as saying now that she thinks about it the curlers could belong to her mother who also have had blonde hair.
2) NBC NEWS (Los Angeles 6pm edition) quotes a representative for Otto's collection as saying the curlers are still 100% authentic and although the US Patton is 1974, Denmark manufactured these much earlier... and that right now the hair in the curlers are going to a DNA LAB for analysis to rest assure all doubters.
Hummmmmmm.... which one is it? Mother DiMaggio's curlers or Denmark made curlers?
BTW: Where are they getting the DNA sample to use against the hair in the curlers...Are they planning to exhume MM's body for this or are they going to contact Bernice Miracle for a DNA sample to test against?
And do they have any idea how near to impossible it is to get a DNA sample from hair? Hope there are some viable roots in there for them to sample from.
How dumb do they think the public is here? We are a fairly sophisticated viewing audience now that there are so many forensic shows out there... they should not assume we are that uneducated.
Perhaps NBC can do a follow up on how the DNA testing goes. Something tells me the hair may have the DNA of Barbie...but I'll wait and see.
Jill Adams
Dear Jill!
Just got home and read your comments.
Thank you for your sweet compliment. What a difference a day makes. In this case, this is definetely true.
It went so well and I am literally speechless that finally, after all these many month' some people realize what I tried to bring to public's eye and attention.
I am really exhausted, it was a hard weekend and I am working frantically on my website to post a few photos of the items of my collection. This will be important for my case. And since I got another Roesler letter today regarding the domain-thing.
I really want to show them how it feels to be owned by someone else, like they are doing with Marilyn all along.
Ernest thought this was an amazing idea.
Getting back to my website--please check in tomorrow the latest it should be done, that sort of work is new to me, but it is fun.
Thanks for keeping the mmfraud.com link on your Marilynforever.com!
We really appreciate it.
FRIENDS THROUGH MARILYN!
Just read the article on the exhibit in the Long Beach press and boy does it hit out hard at the exhibit. It punches holes in the idea that the items on display are 'authentic' and makes it very clear that there are very big questions being asked that noone seems directly able to answer. As for the 'evidence' regarding photos etc with MM and DiMaggio being withheld because of the book, this simply smacks of avoidance. Merely money spinning the episode out to raise profile for the book. After reading the article I would be surprised if anyone was able to totally believe the stories about the exhibit being authentic. Good job Mark and Ernest it's in print and in the public domain, all thanks to you both. This should really kick some ass now!.
I'M QUITE FRANKLY SURPRISED THAT THIS "BLOG" SITE WOULD POST ANOTHER OF YOUR THINLY-VEILED SELF-SERVING, NONSENSE-FILLED STORIES, ESPECIALLY UNDER THE GUISE OF NEWS. YOU REALLY NEED TO SPEND LESS TIME BEING JEALOUS OF THE SUCCESS OF OTHERS AND INSTEAD SPEND MORE OF YOUR (OBVIOUSLY AMPLE) SPARE TIME DOING SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE. HOW ABOUT TAKING-ON SOME BONAFIDE PROBLEMS/ISSUES LIKE WORLD HUNGER, ENVIRONMENTAL ABUSES, OR EVEN THE RISING COSTS OF FUEL OR CABLE TV? PLEASE, FOR SANITY'S SAKE, ANYTHING OTHER THAN THAT SAME OLD BABBLING. WITHOUT DOUBT, MARILYN IS CURRENTLY GRIMACING IN DISGUST AT YOUR ORAL FLATULENCE.
I have to agree with Sunny, there are too many other things in this world that could some coverage. Perhaps time to move on.
Please, would also like to add that the author of this blog seems to have some supporters that I also saw on the last one. As he already has built up a nice following of some sort, he could do alot in just writing about other causes such as the ones that Sunny mentioned. After reading how compassionate Marilyn was, and how she helped so many charities towards the end of her life (such as Mexican orphanages) I think that Marilyn would be pleased knowing that her fans are helping such causes that she too supported. She seemed to be so caring towards others and had very little time for those that were trying to make money from her name sake. I doubt she was even known for hurting anyone. We can all follow her lead.
to 55 and 56.
you are right. but that does not mean that someone or many people may not care about something else also.that way people could only care for big world ect issues.
and if this mm thing is so silly ect, why did you take the time reading the article.
i guess you are yourself also busy all the time saving the world and all its problems??
Re: Sunny and Carleen
Though your postings and sentiments may fulfil your need to expel some frustration I feel that maybe you have entered into the wrong blog. How ever you may feel about Mark's mission and his intentions there is no way you can deny the fact that his information and proof is founded in truth and now the media has published a news story of a similar ilk, which they would not do without just cause or proof. Whilst you may feel there are other important issues in the world it is not Mark's responsibility to solve them in the same way that I doubt you would take on the issues you mentioned yourself and try and solve them. In this world we all do what we can to make things better and when we believe in something so strongly as Mark does and we have it in our grasp to make things better we must do what we feel is right. No you do not have to agree with Mark or support his cause but neither are you in a position to criticise or abuse his attempts. Please refrain from doing this as this blog was not created for any other purpose than to bring to light more evidence and proof about the issues Mark has raised. It is not a forum for abuse or mud slinging and I doubt Mark will want it to be that way. Your comments have been noted and if you do not agree with Mark that is your perogative so maybe you could move onto another blog and allow those of us who support Mark to continue to do so. Good luck to you both in what ever you seek.
Carleen: I agree in your comments that MM did care about others and probably never hurt anyone but again neither she nor any one of us could solve the issues Sunny raised. Yes there are supporters here with Mark as there were on the previous blog and we continue to be here. This is a worthy cause and I support his actions and intentions.
we are supporters of mark, because we are fans of mm and care for mm ( also ).
thats why some of us, including me were also on the previous blog and on this one again. i hope and many others do also that mark will succeed in his mission. mm deserves it !!
Please remember: if anyone critical appears and accuses us of needing a life, they are probably working for the other side. To these people, it is perfectly alright to take money from honest hardworking people and we should sit back and allow it.
Please do not forget that perhaps the National Enquirer should be emailed about this scam on the American public.
to 62. well that may be so, that they might be from the other side . but besides the issue were this blog is about, there are many people who see things only the way they see it. life and many other things are as they see it. thats a bit ( much) short minded. people may have different opinions and people may see things a different way. but they must never forget that there are others who think or see things different and live different lives. what goes for one, does not go for the other. my interests are not the same as others. and what i stand for in life is not the same as what someone else may stand for. but there are people out there who see things only their way and from that they judge .
"Please remember: if anyone critical appears and accuses us of needing a life, they are probably working for the other side."
get a life... and, mark, you should edit the article so that you don't refer to yourself in the third person. it's just weird. and tacky. hmm. wonder what your name is?
To zingzing
Did you actually read the article? Is it not enough that the other blog resulted in people being cruel and critical. As I said before you do not have to support Mark and his mission, it is a choice which we all have, we can read the article and decide for ourselves FACT! If you choose to comment, again that is your choice FACT! but please don't go down the road of telling people to 'get a life' it serves no purpose other than to hurt people. Mark is merely presenting information which the media feels is newsworthy and point out a case that has grounding and proof. Read or don't read, support or don't support the choice is very simple.
A response to criticism that we "need to spend more time on something productive . . . on bona fide problems." Think it through, won't you?
We charge the Roesler/Otto/Strasberg/DiMaggio quartet with fraud and deception and lying to the public. And nothing is being done about it. Yesterday's New York Times printed an editorial concerning the fraud and deception of George Bush, and how nothing is done aboat it; and how, incredible as it may seem, he now seems to be planning to attack Iraq. AND WHAT IS BEING DONE ABOUT IT? Lying and deception is lying and deception whether you're talking about stealing millions of dollars or billions of dollars. And speaking out is an act of defiance whether you're defending a dead movie star or protesting the deaths of thousands of innocent people.
A response to Matthew T. Sussman in comment #25,
that the blog sentiments are more about the author than the cause. You will note that I am (proudly) co-author of the sentiments expressed here. Mark has his reasons and his passions, and I have mine. I grew up fighting the image society dumped on me -- that of the ignorant, incestuous hillbilly. Mark has been slandered as a nazi, even in these very pages. How we got to this point really isn't important. Our fight is to protect the image of someone who is very special to us -- can't you cynics let it go at that? What would it take, how far back would you bend, before you started throwing rocks to protect someone/something that's meaningful to you?
Have you heard this story yet? The Long Beach reporter who did the MARILYN-FRAUD story made yet another trip to the Queen Mary, to investigate the tip that the bums were "refreshing the exhibit" -- i.e., replacing the items that had been identified as crap -- and found new items in the display. The reporter was especially taken with this item:
a bright new pair of white panties with the name "Marilyn Monroe" on the inside waist band, written with a black marker. . . . I wrote that last line about 30 minutes ago, and I can't think of a single comment to say about it. Do you have a comment to add? Or does it stand by itself?
In all honesty Ernest I think the comment stands for itself. How ridiculous to put a pair of panties with marker pen in, dear good we are intelligent people not morons! As for refreshing the exhibit I spoke to a friend of mine who works in a museum here in the UK. He said that refeshing of exhibits does exist and is openly practised but mainly after the items have been on display for 6 months or more and rarely done in a few months unless there is a problem with the item. His suggestion was that the items removed were done so mainly because there was questionable doubt over the very nature of them being there. Again this speaks for itself. Great job on the article Ernest!
And have you heard this story? (I got a million of 'em!).
June DiMaggio was asked again about the hair curlers manufactured 12 years after Marilyn's death. June found them in a trunk labled MARILYN MONROE . . . but she wondered whether they might have been her MOTHER'S hair curlers. Dear me!
I have this image of Americans going up to their attics or down to their basements or looking in the back of their garages for the next hundred years -- and finding a trunk full of stuff left there for safekeeping by Marilyn Monroe. (And I forgot -- stuff in a car trunk: Marilyn left tons of her stuff in the trunk of Bob Slatzer's car -- it was on eBay for years. Maybe there could be a terrific new reality TV show -- who can find the best trunkful of Marilyn Monroe stuff in their basement or attic or car trunk -- or barn? barns are good places to store trunks.
(If some reality show honcho picks up on this idea, I want a piece of the action!)
Wow, Ernest, I never heard of that one. But we may all remember the items "found in Marilyn Monroe's Brentwood garage." 40 years after her passing people sold things that were "found in boxes" in her garage. Some people believed it and paid for them. The story delievered and accompanied with a letter of authenticity which stated that two of the former owners "gave them to that particular person. Since I bought the majority of Marilyn Monroe's furniture from the person who grew up with it, literally, I called up Michael Nunez and the recent owner, and BOTH never heard the name of that particular person who sold clothing, faucets, claiming they were Monroe's, and even an ashtray with a little dog(different dog race than Maf was), that was "left at Marilyn's pool area" the day she died.
Just like Otto&Co, these people are not short of some amazing stories about the items they are selling.
No, Robert W. Otto and June DiMaggio those are just some of the names of the people who do not stop in turning a myth, a legend, dispite her early and tragic death, into hard dollars.
If I would even try to pursue them all, I would need Roesler's army of lawyers multiplied by 10!
What is strange is, that we are under attack by people who want to shut us up in order to sell their "goodies" in live auctions and especially eBay.
And of course what is an easier way than doing this under a anonymous cover and this very blog terrain.
I am beyond the point to explain why I am doing what I am doing.
Mr. Roesler states a lie in public--we have proof for that, definetely, but nobody seem to "raise an eyebrow" about that fact.
Well, for the few people who seem to get it right, you will not be disappointed.
I can promise you that much.
The power of blog, discribed in our article, written by Ernest and me, is present.
The first blog made them remove too many items, the 1974 hair curlers in particular as it was a "highlight" and that is fatal for any so called $10, or even any $8,75 MILLION DOLLAR EXHIBIT!
If you have no clue what I am talking about, please go back to comment # 40, as it is an email, sent by a young person who had no idea what is awaiting you for $22,95.
This says it all, that Otto was hunting for a Marilyn troll for 6 years! Fact also is, that for those 60 or how many there are in that hidious DOLL SALON, he could have bought maybe one or two REAL Marilyn Monroe owned items!
Wait a minute, he was chasing that ugly and really insulting MM, creapy "thing" and has the guts to tell people that tale about it?
Well, 6 years ago, I saw them with my own eyes at Christie's, and he did NOT win ONE SINGLE LOT!
Mhhh strange. How can somebody like that have the "biggest collection in the world"?
Maybe Otto wants to come out of his "hiding" from the reporters and likes to share all those answers. He is welcome on this blog to post with a URL attached to his name.
I am open for any tales he may have to tell me, if I believe them will be decided after the EVIDENCE he can show for all those tales of "tackkle boxes" with personanl and obviously FAKE MM hand writing in it.
No--we will soon find ourself in the next stage. I simply can not wait for that one happening.
June Di Maggio, can you please send a book upfront please? To me and our lawyer? Certainly I will pay for it, like all the other millions you are hoping will buy that Otto/Popp Co-production of shameful lies about Marilyn and how this quartet saw her, cooked that story up in many years of prepearation, some kitchen meetings possibly, and then, almost, got away with it.
FRIENDS THROUGH MARILYN!
Thank you.
FRIENDS THROUGH MARILYN!
In the beginning of my last comment I am talking about the two former owners of Marilyn Monroe's Brentwood home on 12305 Fith Helena Dr. of course. MB
THE LIES OF OTTO
Mark, I know you were at the Christie's Auction, so differ to you. You say Robert Otto did not bid/buy even one lot in the 1999 auction. In this article he not only claims to win several lots of china but that Christie's called him personally to say "What would a Marilyn auction be without a Mr. Robert Otto being there!"
READ THE ARTICLE AND YOU WILL FIND MANY INTERESTING THINGS INSIDE IT... (article was written 2003)
Jill Adams
The Lies of Otto
HAIR DNA
BACKGROUND: Per NBC news (6pm Los Angeles edition of the news dated 4/17/06) interview with a rep of Mr. Otto's they will be doing DNA testing on the hair on the curlers to confirm it did belong to Marilyn Monroe. (I have the tape of this)
Okay so...I was up late last night watching one of those infamous forensic shows... and learned the following:
1) Hair DNA can only be found on the follicle, the bulbous bottom portion of the hair shaft that is attached to the scalp... (Which basically means the hair would have to have been RIPPED OUT in order to get this portion)
2) In order to have a VIABLE SAMPLE the follicle must be fresh... which means NO MORE THAN A FEW YEARS OLD... any older than that and the DNA is rendered useless.
3) IN order to perform a DNA test one must have a sample of the person's DNA you are testing against. Unless a DNA sample was saved from an autopsy (ALL MM SAMPLES WERE TOSSED FROM WHAT I KNOW) or unless they plan to exhume a body to get a DNA sample (THEY HAVE NO PLANS TO DO THIS TO MM) or unless a living relative that is one degree away from the person is willing to give a DNA sample (DOES ANYONE KNOW IF BERNICE MIRACLE IS WILLING TO DO THIS?) then there is no SAMPLE DNA TO TEST AGAINST....
SO where does this leave us?
Mr. Robert Otto is once again LYING TO US.
THERE IS NO DNA TESTING GOING ON AT ALL~~!!!
PS: Why didn't NBC question ANY of this in their report?
Jill Adams.
To Jill # 73: Absolutely NOT! Thanks for the article, Jill. Here is the thing, if he claims that Marilyn was actually a man, and he finds some stupid reporters, they will write anything "Otto the collector! would tell them, even that!
So, yeah, Otto has some very few pieces like a Kleenex box, but he did not win tham at the auction, the actual 1999 auction I am talking about!
I read just a few lines of that Otto interview--besides the very embarrassing stuff he has in the background of his home, I found a big LIE right away.
The bathroom scale from Christie's on which I was bidding on and lost out, went to Maite and is in Spain in her collection.
So what that clown must have done is, to get the name brand and bought a simular scale on eBay!
Why don't we all buy stuff MM owned and declare it as Marilyn's and then tour the UNIVERSE with it?
I am sure we might be able to screw some innocent ALIENS with it.
I will use that article also for my case, as he will have to proof what scale exactly he claims was Marilyn's and WHERE he got that one from!
June DiMaggio? Who then has an excuse to say that it was in a box with the name Marilyn Monroe written on it?
Gimme a break.
I did not read the whole article, but the guy who was writing the Long Beach article, Phillip Zonkel, he wrote a sweet SYMPHONY on Otto the collector, and when we visited him before Christmas in his office he then had to go on his vacation, just like Welkos from the LA Times, those reporters have to "investigate" and do more important things, but they first fu*K up big time by portraying this CLOWN-MORON and suggest to the world that he is for real, when he simply is NOT!
He is a LIAR, A DWARF, A SCUMBAG, just like Mark A. Roesler was called by former Strasberg lawyer Roger Richman in an interview!
So there are TWO LIARS, DWARFS, AND SCUMBAGS.
And they are trying to make it to Las Vegas right this moment, with there shitload full of junk.
I can imagine that the people there do not care, I mean they have wose things performing on stage, like "CAROT HEARD", but do we really want these freaks to get away with it?
That woman yesterday on the news, she asked me THREE times for my press credentials. But they could not ask June for her REALITY credentials, ONCE?!
The reporters are making mistakes, they were fed with false info and if you go and look on Google for "Phillip Zonkel and Marilyn Monroe" you can see that his love song to Robert W. Otto was pulled. Why is that, regrets?
Wonder why? And it took him FIVE MONTH to come up with an article like that? The scare tactic from the Roesler team must have paid off, and my grandmother could have written an article with more bite in it.
I wonder if Zonkel and Welkos are actually twins...
Friends through Marilyn!
CARROT HEAD(I meant to say of course), and the woman who was on the news, who was being interviewed in front of the Queen Mary, was that woman who harrassed me at the press opening and gave an stated yesterday in an interview, that she "believes" that the items are all for real. Well, maybe she also believes in Santa and the James van Praagh?
This is an eexcerpt from that "funny" interview:
""I also have her bathroom scale" Otto says. Next, he brings out a pair of large rhinestone
earrings. "These are to me so Marilyn - big, gaudy, glitzy, these would stand out," he says, holding them up to the light. "They're
clip-ons - she did not have pierced ears. This is a piece that says, 'Hey, look at me.'" He disappears into a bedroom and returns
with a garment bag, which he carefully unzips. "This is the dress that she and her mother bought together for Marilyn to go on
interviews to the various studios when she was 18 years old," Otto explains, lifting the heavy black suit with the "Made in Paris" label
out of the bag and carefully lying it on the couch in front of him. "This came from another collector. It's probably worth in the
neighborhood of $50,000 but time puts its own value on things."
EXACTLY Mr. OTTO! Just like on those beautiful Hair curler you showed to a crowd successfully in Indianapolis in winter 04/05!
And now they are worthless? Strange.
He got quite some stories to tell, and he knows all these details. Wow. I am really impressed; I just wish I could believe even 1% of them. But I simply can not.
Marilyn never was a "Hey, look at me girl.' If Otto would have read one book on her, he would know that, I am not talking about June's book of course. That contains Otto's and Popp's imagination.
And: WHAT other collector? An eBay seller who sold you that pink Happy Birthday "back up dress" that was a $400 buy. And now Otto has become an appraiser as well? Just like Mr. Roesler? Funny, he can not tell us why the crlers were pulled and why he is showing 98.9% disaster material on Marilyn, but he can put this particular black dress at $50K?
Double wow.
Regarding the article (mentioned in comment#73) on Otto: CHRISTIE'S would NEVER make such a tacky statement! They are absolutely discrete. If you do not believe, call Christie's NYC, please. The items discribed, the ones Otto states he bought, he did NOT win at the big auction in 1999! He is talking about Lot # 139 from the Christie's auction on September 12 (due to September 11 it was postponed and held on September 20th) and that lot went for $823. The china was sold on eBay as I remember seeing it, and those very strange looking pieces did not catch my eyes and they went for only a few hundred dollars anyhow. But I must say this again. Since Anna Strasberg is silent as a grave in this matter, we can only assume that she knows about the ongoing scam.
She would sue people for printing Marilyn with a cigarette in her mouth, and now she does nothing, while Marilyn is being slandered by all of them? Slandered with misportray, her underwear, the fake one of course, on display and trash presented as her "personal belongings". That is really insane and can't continue. It needs to be stopped.
What Otto paid at auction for a few real items that made their way arround to be resold stands in no relation at all to that high amount they opened this exhibit and claimed it being worth $10million.
I never said that ALL the items are fake. I am sticking with the statement that 98.9% of the claimed Marilyn Monroe items are absolutely bogus and fantasy creations of June DiMaggio and Robert W. Otto. And that Mark A. Roesler is appraising them to such an amazing high amount ($8.75million), should tell everyone who has no clue about his part in this, what they are up to.
FRIENDS THROUGH MARILYN!
Mark,
Sorry it has taken me so long to post to your new blog. We are in busy season and it took me two sittings to read your new article!
I LOVE IT!
I especially liked viewing the "real" and "fake" photos -- and my favorite is the "horrified" pic of Marilyn you have up top. You did a great job explaining the case and what has happened up until now. It is nice for people who don't have a chance to see the exhibit to see the photos, and see what proof is out there REAL vs. FAKE. GREAT JOB!
I was also very proud to become a new owner of two actual copies of the L.A. INDEPENDENT of which you are on the front cover talking about the Marilyn Monroe scandal! WOO HOO! Should I ever find time to get my butt to LA I will bring them for you to sign.
Keep up the good work and we support you as usual from Baltimore.
I have to take another day to read the actual blogs this far as I have only read the article as of yet.
Good luck and stay strong!
Cindy
hahaha Thanks! I just felt that this photo in the beginning really would express Miss Monroe's reaction, would she have the chance to walk through that ship.
Thanks Cindy! We all missed you as we need engaged people like you in this matter. I just got some important "June-news" as the 48 HOURS special is airing this weekend; and a hot source told me, that the sweet lady with the trademark banks and the awefully bitter and fictitious stories about Marilyn Monroe, has been a victem of the scissors, with other words, she has been cut out including the some other very questionable people (I do not really want to name them). So--this is definetely the power of blog. In case she is not in anymore, as that strange MJ& MMFan always suggested that we would see photos etc.! I simply could not wait for that show and her appearance. She is a great stand-up comediean, but friend of Marilyn? NEVER! She met her as often as I did: NEVER!
(I know I've said that one before...lol)
But maybe she found her way back into the show. It was officially supposed to air last February, TWO month ago, but I guess somebody stumbled over my first blog...! Just like the people from Entertainment Tonight, who then edited out the entire Otto/van Praagh sequence.
Can you feel it? That is the power of blog.
Please come back soon, Cindy.
There are also tons and tons of links in this very article--if you want to take a look at Mark Rosler's plaque on which he put his own name to show off how generous he is with money that he received from a fraudulent exhibit, click on :THE NOBLESVILLE LEDGER.COM and anything that is purple is a link in this! For the people who have not much knowledge about what we are talking about, the MM quote at the end is very recommended.
FRIENDS THROUGH MARILYN!
Mark,
I just read the letter that CMG sent you about using the domain name. What cracks me up is the fact they actually expect you to transfer it to them, and if not, they will seek MONETARY AWARDS.
I think the name "CMG" should stand for:
CONSTANT MONEY GREED
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers
Cindy
hee hee Cindy like that or it could be suggested it stands for:
Cheating Marilyn's Grace!
Sarah & Cindy! Wow--you guys are too much! LOL
How about:
"CMG" = COMMIT MARILYN GRIME
Two snippets I want to remind you of:
In the April 10 Wall Street Journal story on the greed of Anna Strasberg: "estranged stepson John Strasberg says he and sister Susan were close to Ms. Monroe, but they were disinherited by their father and never received any of the Monroe earnings. "I'm not sure I would want any of it," he says. "I find it fundamentally sad that people who never knew Marilyn continue to want to profit from her, and in the lowest form possible."
The second snippet is from MARILYN MONROE: THE BIOGRAPHY: Christmas 1957, Marilyn gave her pearls (from the Emperor of Japan) to Paula. She gave Susan Strasberg a Chagall sketch. And: "Most extravagant of all was her gift to John Strasberg, then 18 and, Marilyn felt, an unhappy, often ignored outsider to his own family. To him she calmly signed over the ownership of her Thunderbird, knowing he longed for but could not afford a car."
Okay, we know what kind of generous, giving person Marilyn was. The mystery, to me, is: what kind of people are those Strasbergs? I think they're scary--and none more than current reigning Queen of Royalties Anna Strasberg.
When I find it, I want to quote from the shocking Vanity Fair magazine story of several years ago. (Remind me if I forget, okay?)
CMG standing for Constant Money Greed --
I love that! so appropriate!
And I might ask: does Roesler
really rhyme with "rustler"?
as in, "Boss! boss! rustlers are
stealing the cattle! and the
hair curlers! and the opera glasses!"
"Head 'em off at the pass!"
My compliments to Miss Jill for her research into DNA, and the unlikely possibility of determining ANYTHING by exhuming Marilyn's body. This is just more fodder for the tabloids.
Someone said that June DiMaggio has been deleted
from the upcoming Marilyn edition of "48 Hours Murder Mystery" -- can someone confirm this? I was so looking forward to seeing that silly old thing again!
Is she ailing? Did she trip over her pizza pan?
No, I bet she was just boo'd off that show. I spoke to the producer Anthony Vendetti the day we went to the press opening; when I called him a month after the opening, I told him about the hair curler, but he really did not want to know anything. He went to Greg Schreiners home and they filmed the usual footage that is in every MM collecting docu and report.
But it would have been cool if they would have jumped on this wagon instead.
Well, we will see, but I bet it is going to be a luke warm piece on Marilyn and those death rumours of course and whatever else, but I bet not one single world that the Monroe world is being screwed like never in history before.
Can someone make a show about the wonderful business Anna Strasberg has been doing?
Since Marilyn's death, think about this, they are making $7MILLION a year +/- so that means since MM died, 44 years ago, do the math yourself, that brings the total to, are you ready?
$308 MILLION DOLLAR!!! THREE HUNDRED AND EIGHT MILLION DOLLAR.
Plus that little extra from the 1999Christie's auction that only made her $13.5 MILLION!
Yet people take it as normal and okay, that Lee, the late husband from ANNA FAILED to give MM's belongings to the friends of Marilyn, the ones from the actors studio.
Watch the little info about this matter, click on the purple MM quote at the end of our article, and it tells you pretty much what is going on, money wise I mean.
Okay, maybe poor Anna did not sack in that much since MM died, but I bet it has brought them at least $200MILLION minimum!
The smoking gun has an archive and you can click on the last will and testament, read it and see what I am talking about, the Strasberg clan was only named on fourth place. Here is the link:
Strasberg was listed under d)--even Marilyn's secretary May Reis, higher listed. She was named as number 2nd! I got so many papers that proof how early Anna had her paws on the MM belongings. She knew that the old and rottening in storage pieces would be worth gold some day. The scent these items carry are authenticity of its own.
Unfortunately.
That greedy woman could have at least saved all these pieces and opened up a museum.
I remember protesters in NYC when we stood in line to get into Christie's who handed out flyers and they were asking to boycott that auction. I felt so for these people, but I tried to save and keep the items I could afford together and re-united, like her welcome bench with the adobe painting, that was a magical moment, when these two pieces came back together, after being separated for 37 years.
Anyhow, if Mr. Vendetti is reading this, and we know that especially TV show people are reading this.
How about a special on the biggest MM scam in history?
The usual death theory and all that stuff, we have heard that so many many times. People who claim to have talked to MM or claim to not have picked up the phone, as if they had called ID in 1962--people who are making a fortune themself on telling lies about their friendship with Marilyn, bla bla bla!
Face it people: MM was lonely! Dispite her huge success and being still so beautiful. She seemed to have lived in ISOLATION!
The phone hardly rung during the last interview and MM was fed up with all the crap and what people did to her, said about her. Mr. Hugh Hefner who now claims to have been MM's friend, he offered her a total nude photo shoot and Schiller was going to take those photographs.
MM was thinking about it, seriously considering.
But Hef could have just picked her up, invited her to his mansion and entertained her a bit; but he did NOT!
Now she is dead and we can only imagine, was she alive, how she would be and with whom she would be, how she would look like and if she would be happy.
Another Elizabeth Taylor, maybe?
Another paper is printing an article about this blog, will post it when it is out, since the other "team" is scaring off reporters, we can not really release the name of the magazine yet.
FRIENDS THROUGH MARILYN!
OMG, MARK! That sleazebag gigilo Jose Bolanos "the last love of her life"?! GAG! PUKE! Seriously! Although I have some issues with Donald Spoto's bio, he so throughly discredited this loser (along with Slatzer and Jeanne Carmen and Anthony Summers), I CANNOT believe you buy that he was nothing more than a Boy Toy because he wasn't!
As the upcoming DiMaggio auction proves, Joe was THE LOVE of her life! And the note the police found in MM's desk after her death "If I could only succeed in making you happy..." was addressed to Joe, not Senor Cockroach! Sorry to break the bad news to ya!
I understand your point, Lisa. But pictures speak louder than words and rumours. Look at the photos and to me MM looks really happy on those.
And it was also recorded that Marilyn made plans to fly to Mexico for the Mexican Independence day. What for, to introduce Joe to Jose? Do you believe that June myth that Joe and Marilyn were about to re-marry? MM was still Jewish and died as such.
Jose and Marilyn had plans for the future, and he came to visit her in Los Angeles. That is also recorded. Just because that does not fit so well into the MM history for some people, it is wrong to portray her as a life long Joe DiMaggio addict. It is also recorded and fact that DiMaggio would beat Marilyn. Why do you think they got divorced? Oh I know--because Joe was jealous because MM would shoot that famous scene where the dress flies up into the air? Rubbish. And why would Marilyn tell her houskeeper that when the phone rung:"If it's the Italian, I am not here."
That is documented and stands for it self. Oh, did she refer to Frank Sinatra, maybe?
I forgot that Otto has also some items on display that were "given to Marilyn by Frank sinatra."
Only problem is: how can Otto prove that they are real and were in fact Sinatra's presents.
Why would a newspaper print all the info about Bolanos, if he indeed was just a boy toy?
Not that easy. And there are also interviews with the Mexican screen writer and director in existence.
Donald Spoto wasn't there, he also did just some research on his own. There are tons of photos in existence which show Marilyn and Jose HAPPY, holding hands and kissing. But there are only a few shots of Marilyn and Joe, sitting on the beach in Florida and walking, but not holding hand or kissing.
Photos are prove on it's own.
MM decorated her hacienda all Mexican, and maybe she also like the idea of dating the Mexican writer. He must have meant something to her, since she took him to the Golden Globes and was holding his hands and enjoyed his company. But maybe it was just to make Joe jealous? You see, there could be so many interpretations. The note you mention was written many years earlier. And if you loved someone in your life, of course you keep some momentos, even though it is over and that person has become a close friend.
He was her ex-husband, fortunatley he was there for her, even lend her money for the home, which was returned to him after his death. Read the papers from her last will.
Shown in the smoking gun archive.
There is no doubt that Joe was one of the closest in Marilyn's life. No doubt at all. But he wasn't a saint either. Who is anyways.
Why do you think a family relative who has not proven her real idendity has used this fact(she is only an adopted DiMaggio, if at all) She has no pictures of herself and Marilyn, now claims she has photos of her and Joe. But do you have any idea how large his family was?
FRIENDS THROUGH MARILYN!
Just found another link from the shameful and ridiculous past of that exhibit.Check it out yourself.
The link provide you with some laughable and absurd images of wannabe MM memorabilia!
Look at that hidious and sweet teddy baer that was mentioned in June's interview at in the December 2005 Playboy. That was "retrieved" by June herself, including the pissa pan and the nightgown. Now she also changed her story on that one.
The furs are so classic and the dresses are simply a big Otto-joke!
Man, I still can not believe that this exhibit is running five month. But I doubt that they will move anywhere. Word of mouth and the help of internet and some recent news reports on the scandal shoud prevent these fraudsters to steal more dollars from Marilyn loving fans. So far they got away with telling their story to this scam. But soon it will be ours, in public and on national TV. Wonder how they feel then, after the thrift store finds are exploided as Jane Doe's underwear, but NEVER Marilyn Monroe's!
Here is the link it's worth watching that teddy baer and the dolls lined up on red velvet. $25 for this? What a nightmare.
i am not an expert in teddy bears, but that one pictured in the link above does look a bit to new .
There is actually another unnamed gentleman who lived in Mexico that I personally believe Marilyn's final attractions went to.
He fit MM's MO
1) Intellectual
2) Older
3) Writer
4) Married
5) Powerful
I have done a painful amount of research here and I have come to the conclusion Jose Bolanos was a forced upon distraction for MM because this particular man Marilyn was involved with in Mexico was potentially damaging to her.
It would take a large amount of time to explain why I am certain Marilyn's attraction was to another man that has yet to be named... but I can tell you this: NO ONE HAS EVER written about this relationship and to date I believe I am the only who has ever recovered this information.
Who knows perhaps one day if I get it together I should write a small book about the final love of Marilyn Monroe.... Ernest want to help me?... he he he he.....
Jill Adams
I just realized I may have potentially offended MM fans when I wrote MM was attracted to MARRIED men. So I wanted to explain what I meant by that.
I by no means meant she was a homewrecker. What I meant was that Marilyn was attracted to men who seemed "unattainable."
I adore Marilyn and would not want to put the idea out there that Marilyn had been out in the world destroying marriages. I do not believe she was not that kind of girl.
Hope I didn't offend anyone.
Jill Adams.
To#93johAn: Right on johAn! For anybody who owns the catalog from the October 27 & 28, 1999 Christie's auction, and as some hard core collector call that one "the bible", please go to page 325, Lot # 469 and compare that STUFFED TOY POODLE to this awefully new and unused looking teddy baer with the necklace, that is discribed in Playboy and by June DiMaggio.
Compare and realize that this bear shown on the photo simply can not be 44 years old.
FRIENDS THROUGH MARILYN!
Strange world! I just received an email from some happy camper who wants to write a book about Marilyn's last dog "Maf honey", isnt' that something?
Wonder if the other dogs are interested? I think the biggest problem would be the reading.
But you never know, and since the Estate of Marilyn Monroe just licensed a whole line of clothing for dogs, no

hi mark,
glad your back!!
and also glad to know that your first blog article was such a succes. shows that some people might not care about mm that much ( or not at all), but the most of us do !!
hope you will succeed in your mission, since marilyn monroe really deserves it !! the truth will survive, as you wrote. and hope it will.
well, anyway, your investigation and the truth about the mm fraud is already working, as it should.
when one is a mm fan or collector or if someone really has any respect at all for mm, well they would not do what the people behind this mm show and the stories around it have done.
if i had done that, i would be ashamed of myself as a mm fan. its a betrayal to her .
anyway, good luck and hope this will go the way you, and all of us mm fans, want it to go!!
marilyn monroe really deserves justice !!
she would have loved your action! i am 100% sure of that.
