Forget suing the parties responsible for writing and publishing the book Game of Shadows; why hasn't Bonds sued Anderson, Conte, and everyone associated with Balco Labs for duping him into taking steroids without his knowledge?

I'm no lawyer, but this sounds pretty illegal to me. If this is the case, and Bonds was dosed with something that he didn't want and that obviously has ruined his reputation and possibly his career, why hasn't he taken legal action to address this situation?

If you went to the doctor for your regular allergy shots, but got testosterone injections again and again, wouldn't you sue?

And what about Sheffield? In 2004 Sheffield and his wife were the targets of an extortion plot when a guy by the name of Derrick Mosely claimed to have a sex tape featuring Sheffield's wife and singer R. Kelly. Sheffield and his agent went to the authorities and did the right thing. Mosely was a blackmailer and as a result went to jail.

Where is Sheffield's indignation now? He called in the FBI in the extortion case, why didn't he notify the feds when Greg Anderson slipped him a "steroid mickey?"

This isn't East Germany during the Cold War, where the sports apparatus gave their women swimmers steroids without telling them. This is America where people sue for being exposed to second-hand smoke and for being served hot coffee that is somehow too hot.

If Bonds and Sheffield wanted to rally the fans to their sides and show us that they really were innocent, why didn't they have their well-paid and high-powered legal teams file suit against the Capo Conte and the Balco Mafia?

These guys don't need money. They need to recover their good name and reputation. Why haven't Bonds and Sheffield sued the people who were directly responsible for their downfall?

Come on, we're all adults here. The reason is simple. We know it. Now maybe the brain trust at MLB headquarters can figure it out, catch up, and move on.
