Yahoo! is reporting Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler will have surgery this week and will force the band to cancel the remainder of their scheduled tour dates.
The reason for the surgery has not been announced publicly.
The news of the surgery for Tyler, 58, comes after the band was forced to cancel recent dates due to an undisclosed illness within the band.
There has been no timetable for a return to the road for the band or any word on rescheduling the cancelled dates.

One of my all time favorite songs is "Seasons of Whither" off of Aerosmith's "Get your Wings" album. I will meditate to that tonight and pray for his safe recovery.
The man is truly a master.
An updated report I read this afternoon is suggesting the surgery is throat surgery.
I hope the best for Steven, he is my idol and my rock God. Will be praying.
