It's a seemingly accurate appraisal, Hicks was not treated very well by A.I. I'll include the post-Idol CD production, the promotion - or lack of and the complete disregard during last season of the man. Examples, Simon Cowell instructing one of the auditioning contestants for Season 6 to place her gum on his face on the audition room mural, the lack of mention of him on the show throughout the season, and Davis pretty much ignoring him on that last episode when he performed. This past season the show really was full of it itself to its detriment, forgetting why folks tune in and focusing on what the producers wanted. The season was pretty flat and the tour shows that fact. Taylor gave Season 5 spark, life and record numbers in many ways. He drew in viewers who otherwise would not have watched the show to get interested and tune in. He has put out some great concert appearances on his recent tour to some great reviews. I'd like to see him get the last laugh on the Simons, and Co. The bloom has fallen of the Idol rose for me. I'll watch it this season, but I view the whole process and the players behind the scenes much differently than before.

Well, having Taylor on AI did not insure the shows longevity because they decided not to appreciate him. Not to work with him, not to use his incredible talent, Instead they took the easy way, promote the status quo, the rocker, the just like everything else out there crap. Tell me AI, why should I EVER care who wins that show again? Since winning gets you nothing. Believe me I don't, unless you find a way to bring Taylor back from time to time, treat him like the winner he is, I will never watch again, never vote again. Taylor gave you the most watched year, the most heavily attended summer tour and in return you have done your best to quell his career. Talent will prevail, I believe and he has it in spades. In an effort not to have another Taylor, you picked really crappy contestants and your treatment of Taylor caused to numbers to drop big time and the summer tour , after the biggest year ever was a flop. When wouldbe contestents see your treatment of a winner why would anyone with talent want to be on the show and if they do go on they don't want to win. AI is sad, very sad.

The promotion of Chris over Taylor has been painful for a soul patroller to watch. Here's hoping that Taylor will be able to knock it out of the park with the next CD. Still lovin' Taylor Hicks....even though the rest of the world has moved on.

hi cathy this is hazel after all this time i somehow following many links on the my space (tosp )i was going to a site to view taylor on AI finale singing ***heaven knows*** thier were other videos of recent concerts ,was watching one from tampa theatre and the song YOUNG TURKS i saw me giving taylor the roses how cool is that it was on you tube taylor hicks videos maybe you can find it. i found it the my space(tosp)taylor offishal soul patrol go to main message board if you know how to do that .i am ratter new at cumputers but my daughter helped me make a home page on my space visit if you can and remind me we talked on this site go to my space ron and hazel fl fans / if it dose not come up under that try florida fan it whould be great to have you as a friend there check it out when you can take care from : hazel also taylor will be here at ruth eckard hall aug 24 2007 if we can both get tickits maybe we can visit!!!

hi cathy ,i have been sick this past week cold and flu. i've been here and seen your reply.thinking to write something back i was blank. i wish i could find a picture of my moment with taylor, but some thing just can't be captured only as a wonderful memory !!! well i am going to rest, i am feeling better and have missed seeing my 2 grandsons they will be staying tonight. have to try to gather some energy one is 2 1/2 YR OLD AND THE OTHER 3 MONTHS. SO wish me luck1!! they are my joy i like to be at 100% when they are here i am not at that point.cathy it is good to chat with you . i am still trying to understand how to use the computer i am doing better i even know how to save things to favorites. take care and hope to hear from you. also wont to say hello to jewels from hazel fl fan

hi Jewels, i was finally able to go see Taylor on his feb 22 07, i was so surprized the afternoon on concert day maybe 5 hours before, my husband works for teco power he was near the theatre and i asked him to get a picture with taylor if possible . he was chatting with a sucerity gaurd that told him 18 tickets just became availibale he was able to buy 3rd row ilse seats we had a wounderful time Taylor is even more awesome than i exspected, he is a caring person that you could feel he was enjoying his fans as much as the fans where enjoying him,there is so much heart in the way he performs.i was also able to hand Taylor yellow roses with a card wishing him well on tour and praying for bleesings and safe travel and happiness as he followes his dreams. may GOD pave the way of the path each and every day!!!!! Taylor i wish i could let you know how you have touched my heart. my husband also is true fan we had a great time maybe we will see you again sometime.Taylor try to enjoy each day as it arrives! from ron and hazel,florida fans
