Brandon's Introduction To Psychology Notes

The following are the top ten comments and quotes I had in my notebook from my Introduction to Psychology course. They are presented to you for the express purpose of convincing you not to copy notes like I used to. Doing so will result in an F, as it would have in this class if it wasn't for a 40-point curve.

  • I brought this buzzer to class and it goes off every 30 seconds. Not to annoy every one, but to send the teacher off on a tangent about how annoying the buzzer is.
  • Observational Memory: Hey, look at the squirrel
  • In a what the heck moment, the professor begins to ramble about cheese
  • Sigmund Freud, the man, the myth, the sexual deviant
  • Short term memory...what'd you say?
  • Holy crap, is he arguing with himself?
  • Professor-"There is no cure." Brandon- "No cure! We're doomed! Doomed!"

Note to self: I am getting the evil eye, he didn't like that I agreed with him.

Professor: A parrot can memorize but not understand
Brandon: What if it was a really smart parrot?
Professor: Shut up smart-ass.
Professor: "We are the sexiest animals on earth, screw you Panda Bears."
Professor " I have a video tape from England that I want you all to watch closely"
Brandon: Is it a porno? Because if it is, that would be sweet."

Long story short, I took notes like this because the course was a waste of time. In fact, every student failed this class but received a 2.0 because of a 40-point curve. If you find yourself taking notes like this by the second week of class, you may want to consider looking to take the class with a different teacher. Ask your friends, check out sites like Ratemyprofessor, and keep track of what your brain tells you. Notes like this should be a warning sign.
