AMD looks to Skype in anti-trust suit
AMD has supoenaed Skype in its law suit which alleges that Intel has used its position to muscle out its smaller competitor. It has recently been announced that Skype 2.0 will contain features that will only be available to users with Intel CPUs. The feature, 10-way voice conferencing, was announced in a joint statement by Skype and Intel on February 8th.
New tunes from Franz Ferdinand
The single for the band's song, "The Fallen" which is due out March 27th will be a double-A side featuring the track from You Could Have it So Much Better and a new track "Lauren Wells" (also called L. Wells). The single will be released as a CD single and as two different 7-inch singles. Each of the versions will contain different B-side tracks, "Jeremy Fraser" and "Brown Onions" and a remix of "The Fallen" known as the "Ruined by Justice" mix.
Yahoo gets early trade secret win
Earlier this week, Yahoo sued wireless content provider MForma alleging that Yahoo employees had left the company and taken proprietary information with them to MForma. Wednesday a judge granted Yahoo a temporary restraining order barring MForma employees from using or disclosing Yahoo information at work. MForma has said that the former Yahoo employees will continue to work during the lawsuit.
