"Why did you have to lie? Couldn't you have just told us the truth?" Ah, Jack was just living in a rented room. Spouts sometine about thinking he might be able to live a second chance, happy, with family.

scene ... Martha and Charles. Logan says there is abolutely no connection. He tells her it was the work of one unstable former CTU agent. Ah. There is the call, being played now. "It's hardly a matter of national security. I want you to host ... " She says that is absolutely not what he said. Logan and someone else who manipulated the record ????? drive home the fact that she's crazy.

... scene ...
Aubrey drops in a point of logic. Why would Chloe cover for Jack if he did kill Palmer?

... scene ...
A lot of armed men in a UPS van. What can Brown do for you? They are on their way.

... scene ... Mike gives Logan the info that the Russian President's helicopter is being targeted. Logan still refuses to either postpone or redirect landing. "I've got the media waiting for a landing."

...8:49 ....

Diane and Derek reunion. Jack tells her his name isn't Frank. Gives them CTU Bill Buchanan's number. Jack runs off ... I'm getting a "The Incredible Hulk" vibe.

Helicopter touches down now. ... Russian President Suvarov's arrival is being watched on TV by good guys and bad guys. "Our intel must have been wrong." A bit premature there, right?

Right.

8:57:45 ... Derek and Diane parked right behind that UPS van that pulls up. Derek twigs that somethingss wrong and runs for it. They're at airport. The UPS van now blows up (You can't buy that kind of publicity.) Not a huge explosion. Just enough to attract and distract everyone's attention.

A security guys bites cyanide in front of Jack as he enters some office he JUST KNOWS is related to the terrorists. How? Terrorist dude fires large gun, causing panic. Son stays standing until told to get on floor. He's hard. "You will not be harmed as long as your president complies with our wishes" terrorist tells assembled, floored crowd.

Mother, outside, is freaking. Stopped by a police officer from going further. (He's got nothing better to do at this point?) she does the Audrey Hepburn cry.

... scene ... Yep, confirmation that the tape was altered ..... boom, and my instincts pan out. Walt Cummings altered the tape.

OVER.

Go Temple Go

My favorite show. The sarcasm and frivolity of the blow-by-blow of a show this fascinating and well-done turned me off after 5 or 6 entries, even though I tragically missed the first half-hour.

Contra our blogger, last season was completely persuasive and riveting.

I went and I'm spent: -) Recorded West Wing and Law and Order:CI.

If anyone wants me to refine this a little more, while keeping the live-blogging feel let me know. Temple

David, if you read other people's blow by blows before this one - yep I completey understand your point.

By the way, Last May 24, I called the 24 finale the worst episode ever

Fixed spelling of Aubrey to Audrey. Added Kenny-Kennedy line. Couldn't resist that one.

Monday's will be the regular days for the show.

Ehhh.. at least this was better than watching the bears lose :(.

24 tries (more than any other show I know of) to be technically accurate with their references to computers, but it sort of comes off goofy: their reference to redirecting network traffic, or the wireless AP's, or Chloe asking for that [intel?] mac's IP address. But at least they attempt it. Can't say that for any movies.

am So Jealous Temple -
I did get to watch but not do live updates. I didn't even do dead updates! I wanted to at least post on my own blog - but no, just didn't happen!

Anyway, thanks for this - fun. : )

I miss liking this program. I am kind of into this season, but I miss every other week because of having to cover council meetings.

PS. glad I waited to get 24 DVDs because they're like $10 bucks now for the whole season. I have to watch the first couple of seasons again and remind myself when the writers weren't spinning their wheels and believing the hype.
