Alec Baldwin To Make Saturday Night Live History
Published December 09, 2005
Saturday Night Live history will be made this week when Alec Baldwin graces the stage for the twelfth time, putting him in a tie with John Goodman as "repeat host." Goodman and Baldwin are both shy of the all time record held by Steve Martin by only one appearance, the New York Times reported today.

Mr. Baldwin has become one of those go-to hosts whose presence serves, among other purposes, as a rite of passage for young cast members. Mr. Baldwin's appearance this year, his first since November 2003, comes at a time of transition.(Lorne Micheals, SNL producer)
It is rumored that there will be several changes to the regular line up next season.
Baldwin's appearance seems to be aptly timed as it was announced last month that two new Best of SNL DVDs will be released January 24, one being of The Best of Alec Baldwin. The other features David Spade.

Saturday Night Live is never short on talent. On December 17, Neil Young will appear on the show performing music from his Grammy Award-nominated "Prairie Wind" album. The album has been receiving accolades since its release in September, and received nominations for Rock Album of the Year for "Prairie Wind" and Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance for the song "The Painter" on December 8.

One can only hope that his Schweddy Balls will make an appearance as well.
Yeah, that one is a classic, Joanie. Alec Baldwin always does well on the show. It should be a great one.
What a coincidence! I just came from watching 101 greatest SNL moments on Vh1 and the guy was there in most of them.
The one with the scouts (pictured) and Adam Sandler as a classic one.
Gotta love the guy!

perfect Connie, thanks!
