Waiting for Gatsby? Don't hold your breath. Ed Driscoll's cutting look at the various stabs at turning the beloved Fitzgerald novel into a film will stick with you, and Ed ties it all up in a very neat, short package. Would that we could all pack such a punch!

Susan Reno Gilliland does a great job proving she can cross the T and Dot the I with her review. The movie is more than a simple love story, it delves into the motivations of one woman and her search for happiness.

Murderball is reviewed by Matt Paprocki. With his characteristic take on all aspects of the film, you can't help but be interested in one of the most intriguing movies to roll out on DVD in years.

In his irreverent look at the ho-hum Barbara Walters Special: The Ten Most Fascinating People of 2005 Don Baiocchi hits the nail on the head with every keystroke. Thank you, Don!

Picks coming here from Asst. Editor Warren Kelly. Mr. Cummings is out of commission for the moment.

Dubunking Linguistic Urban Legends by GoHa, Nov. 29.
I'm somewhat of a language nut myself, and I enjoyed this review of a book that is on my list.

Star Wars and Philosophy by Jeliel, Nov. 29.
Movie and philosophy connect rather often, though I don't think people realize it. A Star Wars fan reviewing this book makes for an insightful review.

Running Fron the Deity by Bill Wallo, Nov. 27.
No editor's choice list is complete without a Bill Wallow review. I like Alan Dean Foster anyway, but Bill's review makes me want this book.

Nothing was chosen.

Nothing was chosen.

Gaming Editor Ken Edwards also picked ::: Video Games: The New Black Trenchcoats by Alisha Karabinus, Dec. 2 Not long ago, Congress was preaching from their pulpit on the evils of song lyrics that glorified violence and other dark themes. Violence onscreen, be it big or small, is also apparently responsible for all the world's ills. Now its time for video games to take their full turn in the spotlight.

Thank you so much for the "pick" - I enjoyed the twists-n-turns in the movie and would recommend it to anyone with a slightly twisted sense of humor (no spoilers here).
