Boston Legal "Men to Boys"

Is there something in the water? Most people at the firm of Crane, Poole, and Schmidt seem to be having a bad day.

Catherine is fired by Shirley after the murder trial is over. This would hardly come as a surprise. After all, Bernard was murdered rather than arrested.

Paul made an appearance, yet spoke little. Perhaps he has been shocked into silence at how the firm has changed.

When Alan inquires why he was not told that Catherine was about to get the ax, Shirley responds that his complicity would have been a problem. Besides, this way Catherine would be mad at Shirley, yet still adore Alan. Alan vows to get even by going behind Shirley's back some day.

Next, we find Sara having dinner with Alan. The unsuspecting waiter mentions that salmon is one of the specials. Alan remembers his trip to Nimmo Bay and proceeds to make a public announcement in the form of "Trouble" from The Music Man. How appropriate.

Brad puts Sara on the team to aid Denise in her civil suit. A woman dies in her home after a truck in her garage catches fire. The truck was not running at the time and her husband is suing the truck manufacturer. Denise watches a tape of how the lead opposing counsel conducts himself in court. When the case ends up going to trial, Garrett finds himself in a compromising position with a paralegal in the opposing firm.

The resulting reprimand is taken in stride. Garrett knows he messed up. When the woman, Cassie, shows up at the law firm, Garrett does his best to walk away.

Lori has filed a complaint against Denny for sexual harrassment. He apologizes, but asks why she would take action. Lori explains that she's had enough of his sexual inneundoes and unflattering comments. She also says that she does not feel a passion for her work anymore.
