Arrested Development
Please watch! I beg you.
Too fast-paced for new viewers?
Stick with it: it's grrrrrrreat!

The Office
Compared to last year
a rather unfunny start.
Still, more laughs than most.

Kitchen Confidential
I had such high hopes.
Then I tasted the main course.
Bland and needs pepper.

My Name is Earl
The white trash half hour!
A 'daytime hooker'! Beer cans!
I love you, Earl show.

Now this is genius!

I can't wait for the next volume!

Darling, the premire of "The Office" was a bit different than usual since most of it was off-location in that Chili's and was about drunk girls, but it was still pretty good and the best premiere I saw this week. I haven't seen my tapes of the "Lost" and "Everybody Hates Chris" premieres, however, so that could change.

What did you think of "How I Met Your Mother," beautiful? I thought it was surprisingly good and the best "Friends"-wannabe since they started trying to clone the chemistry of that show. Having Bob Saget as the voice-over guy for the Dad looking back years later is a little weird, though.

That is all.

Thanks, lads!

Ah Bob, I am a HUGE HUGE Office fan, both the UK and US versions. So even though I thought the season premiere could have been better and funnier, I was still lovin' it. I think I was just feeling all nervous-like for the new viewers - it seemed like an odd one to kick off with, compared to the Total Genius of some of last season's eps. Like you had to have watched it before to really appreciate the jokes. Maybe I'm being over-sensitive. Am I being over-sensitive?

Haven't watched How I Met Your Mother yet - scheduling conflicts - but I'll def. be tuning in this Monday. Man, but this fall season is exhausting. Poor teletart is quite worn out - and yet strangely satisfied.

:)

I hear you. I think the "drunk girl" episode was kind of a bit of a stretch for the Pam character, although it showed nicely the akward love relationship with Jim and Pam at the end, and seemed somewhat calculated to get in new viewers by moving the show out of The Office itself.

Was it just me or did a couple of the actors look different? Not just Steve Carrell's new parted haircut, but the folks who play Jim and Pam both looked significantly older and, dare I say, heavier. Maybe they enjoyed their summers in LA a little too much.

"Poor teletart is quite worn out - and yet strangely satisfied."

This would perfectly describe a date with me as well, dearest :)

That is all.

Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a Matthew Perry drastic change in appearance.

"Friends" definitely set the record, between Perry and LeBlanc, for most weight fluctuations, bad red tans, aging (hello, Lisa Kudrow) and drastic appearance changes over its summer breaks. I was going to pluralize "hiatus," but I realized I didn't know what the correct plural form was. Hiatuses? Hiati? :)

That is all.

I only caught the tail end of The Office, but the camerawork looked different. Normally, I'd make fun of someone who wrote what I just did, but the shoddy documentary-style camera is part of the show. At the end, the camerawork was cinematic. Is that a new thing for The Office this year?

Funny post, Teletart. To keep up your theme, here's a haiku for the one premiere I let myself watch all week.

LOST
Where's the men at sea?
Let me lower you down, Kate.
Madman in the hatch!

Mark: brilliant!

Well, if we're allowed to play too:

Aliens arrive
Threshold Surface Invasion
look alike to me

"Joey" has no "Friends,"
Bad writers, worse LeBlanc.
"Entourage" wannabe.

That is all.

The "Desperate Housewives"
I find I don't like so much
Just a night time soap

#12 — September 26, 2005 @ 10:41AM — Bob A. Booey [URL]

"Everybody Hates Chris,"
But he's funny and sweet.
It's a ratings feat!

That is all.

#13 — September 26, 2005 @ 10:44AM — Bob A. Booey [URL]

Teletart,
will you go on a date with me?
We'll watch some hot TV :)

That is all.

#14 — September 26, 2005 @ 10:48AM — Bob A. Booey [URL]

"Scrubs" is like
the smartest kid in school,
Who no one talks to
Though they're cool.

That is all.

Does saying "crime procedural"
Make the critics feel any smarter?

That is all.
