Top cool guy likely pick for the week is The Del McCoury Band The Company We Keep. This guy knows what he's doing. Plus, you have to love that chairman of the board album cover.

Fatty Koo have a show on MTV, and now an album wherein they are no doubt anxious to prove that they're not the Monkees.

Willie Nelson finally releases his long gestating reggae album Countryman. Note the big fat pot leaf on the cover, the obvious entry point for Willie's interest in products Jamaican. Early indications would be pretty crappy reviews, but you have to give him credit for trying such a thing. Plus, what must reggae with dobros sound like?

Adrian Belew has a new album, Side Two, apparently the follow up to Side One. Belew might likely be rated worth a listen, though the first track title, "Dead Dog on Pavement" does not sound real enticing.

Unreformed hawkish Hoosier hillbilly and sometimes candidate Al Barger runs the still squeezin' down the psychodelic Kentucky moonshine at MoreThings.com, what with the paranoid religious visions and the Pentacostal music and visions of God and anarchy running amok and such. Somebody oughta call the cops to report his out of control freedom of conscience. Till they come to take him away somewhere where he can't hurt anyone else, you can check out his weekly column of NEW ALBUM RELEASES.

The Adolescents? Did I mention that I want my goddamn Creedence album back/ Yes, I believe I did.

Don't forget rock legend Alice Cooper has a new album out on August 2nd called "Dirty Diamonds." I heard a promo copy and this thing rocks. It is a real return to old school rock. If you like great guitar and Alice's powerhouse snarly vocals, you need this one.
