Is Ted Rall Insane?

Ted Rall, a shrill comic strip creator and a columnist has posted an unbelievable column on Karl Rove and the Valerie Plame case: (HT: Michelle Malkin)
The right points to critics like Michael Moore, yours truly, and Ward Churchill, the Colorado professor who points out the gaping chasm between America's high-falooting rhetoric and its historical record. But these bête noires are guilty only of the all-American actions of criticism and dissent, not to mention speaking uncomfortable truths to liars and deniers. As far as we know, no one on what passes for the "left" (which would be the center-right anywhere else) has betrayed the United States in the GWOT. No anti-Bush progressive has made common cause with Al Qaeda, Hamas, the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan or any other officially designated "terrorist" group. No American liberal has handed over classified information or worked to undermine the CIA.
Michelle Malkin points to Lynne Stewart, who has been convicted of aiding and abetting terrorists
After a seven-month trial, progressive New York attorney Lynne Stewart was convicted today on charges of conspiracy to aid and abet terrorism. Her co-defendants Mohammed Yousry and Abdel Sattar were also convicted. They all face 20 to 40 years in jail.
Now, lets look at the other great Americans he points to, Ward Churchill and Michael Moore, before we get to the greatest American, Ted Rall.
Ward Churchill first said that "more 9/11's are necessary" because 'states' were unwilling to listen to opposing viewpoints.
Then, on June 29th, Bill O'Reilly received audio of Ward Churchill advocating lower ranking soldiers to "frag" their officers: The Political Teen has the video
For those of you who do, as a matter of principle, oppose war in any form, the idea of supporting a conscientious objector who's already been inducted [and] in his combat service in Iraq might have a certain appeal. But let me ask you this: Would you render the same support to someone who hadn't conscientiously objected, but rather instead rolled a grenade under their line officer in order to neutralize the combat capacity of their unit?...Conscientious objection removes a given piece of cannon fodder from the fray. Fragging an officer has a much more impactful effect.

The answer is "yes" to ever name mentioned in the post - except Rove and Plame.
If Mr. Rall was a pretty blond with a cute figure, he'd be the liberal equivalent of Ann Coulter.
Karl Rove might arguably be worse than bin Laden in a specific sense: If Rove outed Valerie Plame, he is a traitor to the United States, i.e., "one who betrays one's country, a cause, or a trust, especially one who commits treason." [source: American Heritage Dictionary]
One could call bin Laden a lot things, but not a traitor. He never had a U.S. security clearance.
Um, Ms. Toigo, Ted Rall is kindda cute. Is he available? I'd ask him out on a date.

Revealing the name of a CIA agent is a felony offense. If any of us did it, we'd be locked in the same dungeon with Pollard and Hannsen (sp?); if Rove actually gets indicted (provided he is responsible for the leak and they don't find a patsy to take the fall), I very much doubt that he'll do any serious time. Power and privilege has it's perks.
Ted Rall has been insane for quite some time, I agree.
Excep, Gonzo, that this is actually a pretty decent post. Art must just not be in the loop on the not linking to Ann Coulter policy.

If Fitzgerald now has the info he's been seeking, why hasn't he come out with it, why are two reporters still going to jail when they surrendered their notes, and why is Karl Rove NOT being jailed?
I thought my contempt for Smirk & his administration couldn't get any deeper, but I was wrong: so after all the posturing & lying about "I told all my staff if they knew anything about this to 'fess up..." from Bush, it turns out Rove did it, and Bush knew about it all along. Lying, stonewalling, and the leaks on this scale are, to say the least, impeachment offenses. So why is nothing being done, and why is Rove still a free agent? Where are the damned media?
If anyone is going to throw Rove into jail if Rall's accusations are true, I hope the "Deep Throat" idiot and Sandy Berger are there waiting for him for the same crimes.
Rall isn't bright enough to the Left's Coulter, a cartoon degree does not equal a law degree no matter how outrageous the two can sound like. Between Churchill, Moore, and Rall I think there may be the equivalent of a Master's, maybe, you can't tell with Churchill....
Ummm, there is no proof so far that Rove was involved. At this point it's rumor from some loony sources that he was. I'll believe it when I see it.
As for Gonzo, he's just typical of those who can't refute the arguement that proves him wrong so he attacks the messenger. That's worked reeeaaal well for the Dems, eh? :)

Rall has a history degree, not a "cartoon degree", whatever that is. also, unlike rightwing heroes like Coulter, Rall's actually travelled around the the regions he writes about and seen some of the world outside the sweet first-class suites the Mysterious Adam's Apple occupies between her massive anti-Skeletor treatments.
The only problem you people have is an inability to face the truth. Sort that out, and you'll be fine. I think. It is hard to get a head out of a rectum.
