In an intriguing twist of events, Freestar Media, LLC is trying to have the Town of Weare in New Hampshire approve their request for the house of Supreme Court Justice David Souter, who voted in favor of the recent Kelo vs. City of New London Supreme Court ruling. The ruling allows the government to use eminent domain to take an individual's private property and give it to other private groups or individuals for "economic development."
In their request to the Town of Weare, Freestar Media CEO Mr. Clements elaborates that the land will be used to erect the Lost Liberty Hotel, "featur[ing] the Just Desserts Café and include a museum, open to the public, featuring a permanent exhibit on the loss of freedom in America."
Clements indicated that the hotel must be built on this particular piece of land because it is a unique site being the home of someone largely responsible for destroying property rights for all Americans.--Freestar Media, LCC press release
While the house appears to be in a residential area, Clements seems quite confident he will be able to get his plan approved.

It may be an empty gesture and a publicity stunt, but so what? It's a clever idea and makes a very valid point.

We have three posts that do nothing but repeat the PR and that exact same point. Useless. I surely understand three posts about the same issue but they should be more than repeating a news release.

Man you guys are such suckers for a publicity stunt. Did you look at Freestar (and your intro blurb gives them the wrong name) at all? Do you think they can raise money for a hotel? Is it not merely an empty gesture to draw headlines?
