THE KILLING EP
SPV
For the life of me, I don't understand the metal listening public. Sure, a band like Shadows Fall is good, as is a band like Lamb Of God or God Forbid. However, the fact that they are so highly regarded by most, while incredible bands like Hatesphere or Stampin' Ground go largely unnoticed just doesn't make any sense at all. After the absolutely pummelling BALLET OF THE BRUTE, Hatesphere return with a brief, 4-song blast of extreme metal at it's best with THE KILLING EP. This release does exactly what it is supposed to do - it makes you hunger for the full length that will be coming later this year. This band's music is simply better than almost anything that the more popular peers they have in this music style. They also get extra points for covering Suicidal Tendencies "Trip At The Brain". Combining elements of everything from Shadows Fall to Slayer, this band demands your attention. If you aren't giving it to them yet, then I question how "metal" you really are.
