Reeve Oliver - Self-Titled

San Diego has an amazing local music scene (Switchfoot, blink-182, Pinback) and it actually keeps getting better.

Reeve Oliver is the latest band trying to break out into the mainstream. Their first full-length album puts them on a strong path to success. It has many standout songs including "On The Floor", "Yer Motion", "Reevenge" and a tribute to The Godfather, "An Offer She Can't Refuse". Go to Amazon and listen to the sample tracks.

The music is power trio rock/alternative. You can tell the Reeve guys had a good time making the album as it has a fun sound. There is a bit of silliness (sorry, couldn't think of a better word) on the album but it doesn't get in the way. Reeve Oliver is a band helping to bring some fun back into music. All the Emo stuff has its place but there's got to be a time when you just want to rock out. These guys, and this album, provides that outlet.

Watch out for more San Diego bands in the future. Bands such as This Holiday Life and Parker Theory are right behind Reeve Oliver so be on the lookout.

I'm just a regular guy in San Diego and blog at Broken Masterpieces.
