Juicy Brad Pitt Interview

Written by Cerulean

You can read a juicy interview with Brad Pitt online at the GQ site. He was quite open with interviewer Lucy Kaylin, showing her all the scars on his body and telling her lots of stuff about his life. She spent two evenings interviewing him at his hotel bungalow (lucky her). I enjoyed reading this article. This interview deserves an acknowledgement. Although I find the writer's comments to be overwritten, overall this is a great read for those interested in the subject matter, and it's available free online.

The accompanying photos of the actor by Mario Testino are plenty hot too. They capture their subject's rebellious charisma. You can see about four pictures on the website and probably more in the magazine.

I wish I could get my hands on Brad Pitt.

Brad Pitt dyed his hair clown yellow and styled it in a swirl. Why Brad? Now unless I develop a clown fixation it'll be hard to lust after him. He's periodically done stuff like this before. It's some type of rebellion. Maybe it's a message.

As I had planned, I'm going to stop buying tabloids because of the way they get their material. I hope they let up on him before he does anything weirder than this.

Cerulean: Didn't you hear? He really wants to talk about poverty in Africa. And, BTW, he has become a "zen master" (Gary Susman, Entertainment Weekly) at manipulating the media. (grin)

Cheers,

Ron

I've seen those already. When you hear it from him the stuff he says sounds reasonable to me. He has a Bob Dylan-like way of putting things at times.

Reply: WHOA! I think that is giving him way more credit than he has earned to this point. I, being a guy (mind you, a really older guy) might, at first blush, be simply written off as "Oh, he's just jealous of Brad!" But, I assure you, I am well-past that. Brad seems to me to be working both sides of the isle. I am not sure Dylan ever did that. Brad seems to want his paparazzi both ways.

Just, IMHO.

Cheers,

Ron

Not to take anything away from Brad Pitt, but why all the fascination with celebrities?

Reply: None here, Sarge. It's just that I feel I should keep my ear turned - if only slightly - toward popular culture in order to be able to communicate with people I see in my profession. The celebrity world, really, is a substitution for the Sunday comics. I actually listen to what they say for amusement value. And, unlike the printed comics, I am never disappointed.

Cheers,

Ron

Dietdoc, some people might think you sound jealous but I know you are too enlightened.

SFC Ski you just posted two comments on threads about celebrities yourself. It's something to talk about about and Brad Pitt is sexy. For better or worse it's a common interest. You can look in my index here (see all posts by Cerulean) for my other interests. Dietdoc, there is one about eating disorders.

I am only doing this to drive up my post count so I can reign supreme here.

Seriously, I am in a less than jovial mood about people in general and as a while focusing on trivial things like celebrity when there is so much more out there. I guess I shold not listen to drive time radio.

Reply: Hummmm....do I need to pull a velvet-sheathed blade from my back or was that said without tongue-in-cheek? (wink)

Ski, by all means. Do abandon talk radio...it will ruin you and those you care about.

Cheers,

Ron

Ski, you've made four recent posts on my celebrity threads, but please don't visit them if you feel they are contemptible.

I wouldn't call your posts contemptible.

Well I have to critic Brad Pitt...

I could be mistaken but I believe Entertainment tonight before going to commercial played a bit of Brad Pitt talking about photographers getting 1/2 million for snapshots of him....and that he'd voluntarily pose if the money went toward charity...feeding the poor..

Well um..excuse me Bradley-Boy...

Exactly how many millions are you paid per movie?

You would grudge a photographer earning 1/2 mill for a photo of your not-so-sweet face...yet you would accept a few million to act in a movie?

Isn't that rather hypocritical?

Perhaps you might put your money where your mouth is? Live on the U.S. median income and donate the rest of your earnings to charity..or even donate anything above 500k to charity...

If not..

Suggest zipping up your phony lips.

There's a lot of hostility there. I'm not entirely sure what the cause is.

Please, do not turn this thread into a hate thread. It's intended for fans of Brad Pitt, or those who could converse nicely with them.
