Martha Stewart
Published May 16, 2005
It's no secret; I'm a Martha Stewart fan. There's just something about her soft- spoken nature that makes me instantly stop my hurried channel surfing and tune in to how to turn an ordinary linen napkin into a delectable table ornament. Sure, I'm looking forward to The Apprentice: Martha Stewart, but there's just something missing.
I want to hear what Martha Stewart has to say. The woman with an opinion on everything including what shade of green is appropriate for the month of July has to have plenty to say. Where's her blog? Wouldn't it be nice to get firsthand daily accounts of events going on at the Martha Ranch? How about little tips on making life easier? I'd even be happy with random thoughts from one of America's most prolific women.
Martha, give America what it wants. Starting shouting out to all your fans on the Web. Oh, I know you have your website www.marthatalks.com, but a formal letter every once in a while doesn't cut it for hardcore fans. We want snippets and thoughts; you know the kinda of things that you find on blogs. Anyway, you heard it here first; we want a Martha Talks that really talks.

One question that Martha has not answered is DID MARTHA STEWART LIE???? Now the lying started with Federal Investigators, then to the public and her employees. Either Martha is innocent as she has maintained from her first press confrence, or guilty of lying? Which is it?
Did she lie? Who cares? I don't really care to hear anything else about the trial. Whether or not she lied, she did her time and so we should move on. She's more than paid for any crime that she committed.
I just want to hear about the usual Martha stuff. Like what can I do with old hammock laying out back? Or how about tricks to make my cupcakes look as good as they taste. For that matter, I'd be pretty interested in what websites Martha reads as well.
Good point! Martha needs to keep her most hardcore fans informed. Is she now dating jazz guitarist Edd Townsend or software guru Charles Simonyi? She would do good to have a weekly webchat instead of one canned event per year as a publicity gimmick. Come on, Martha, get with girl!
BLOGCRITICS EXCLUSIVE! Martha's Prison Diary
I really just want to see a blog written by Martha Stewart. It would have to be good no matter what it was about.
And it's something she can do from the comforts of her home-prison, the poor thing.
Hi there... i actually came to noe abt Stewart some years back in Bride of Chucky the movie. Tiffany (Chucky's wife) was saying Martha Stewart is her idol so i got curious and did a little research. Hmm.. and lately Martha was again being mentioned in Seed Of Chucky and White Chicks so i'm getting real interests in this talanted lady. Btw i'm from Singapore and nice to meet ya all.. so long now... ;p
Super supermarket tab The Globe reports Martha Stewart is set to marry Microsoft apps granddaddy Charles Simonyi. The "paper" says the lovebirds have been "quietly dating" for about eight years. Yeah, right. What about Evi Quaid's visits to "Villa Simonyi"? Quietly dating?
"He's one of the world's richest men, but that's not what attracted Martha to him. (Yeah, sure... it must have been the '007 Love Parlour' upstairs). They're like-minded people who are both at the top of their game. They're also soul mates who can talk for hours," The Globe reports. Awwww... isn't that sweet?
We're kinda surprised Martha would go for a Microsoftie. Given her DIY roots, we'd peg her to fall for some open source geek.
A top reliable source tells NBC's Jeff Zucker that Simonyi leaked that bunch of false information to the Globe tabloid magazine with hopes that jazz guitarist and Martha admirer Edd Townsend would back off and stay away from Martha's Bedford, NY estate during the times when Simonyi needed to fly back to his home in Seattle.
Now Martha's PR crew at the Magrino agency says "a can of worms has really opened now". The truth is Simonyi doesn't really want to marry Martha but doesn't want Townsend around her either.
It was reported that Simonyi hired a "spy" to keep tabs on Townsend after one of Martha's farm hands mentioned that Martha hid the guitar player under her bed to keep from probation officers finding him. All of this is most interesting to say the least.
A Martha blog would be so fun to read!
Even if she only put a short paragraph up every couple of days... things like "I was at ABC party last night and the flower arrangements were so creative..."
I don't know about this Townsend thing - in this article he sounds like a stalker!! http://www.eddtownsend.com/martha_story.html
But I have met Charles Simonyi in person -- he's a nice guy, and speaks of Martha like a close friend. She even planned a menu of food being taken to the International space station on his trip. ( www.charlesinspace.com )
If I were Martha, I think I would pick Charles; the creative world traveler, who takes his friends on zero-G space training adventures -- over an obsessive jazz playing fan.
And why get married? there would be SO much pressure surrounding "Martha's dream wedding"!
No thanks!
But thats just me.
