Evidence of something, yes. But everything produced that I've heard of sounds circumstantial at best. And they don't prove beyond a reasonable doubt that anything specific took place -- they haven't proven that Abdul bought the clothes or haircuts or CDs. They haven't proven that their relationship was sexual. The only people shown on Clark's side were his own parents and friends. Other contestants are skeptical. I remain so. But yes, whether Clark's allegations or true or not, he still comes across as a complete cad. As Frenchie Davis, former AI2 contestant, said on Entertainment Tonight, Clark's actions are "tacky."

I absolutely think that there is enough evidence there that something went on. That being said: he's scum. What Paula did was wrong. What Corey did was worse, which is use all of her help, and rat her out later on. He wasn't feeling a need to get this off of his chest until he had something to promote, and I bet you anything that if he would have WON American Idol he would still be sitting on his little secret.

Now, that isn't to say we think that any relationship wouldn't have violated common sense ethics behind the professional nature of their conncetion to each other. But did the producers of Primetime Live really think this "expose" would devestate Fox's American Idol? Pretty lame attempt if you ask me.

I do not believe the allegations against Paula from Corey Clark. If they were true...seems to me that Paula treated Corey with a lot of class. Bought him clothes, cell phone, hair cut, coached him, invited him to her home and boosted his ego. Seems to me that Corey is ungrateful, selfish and just cannot accept rejection. He's just a scorned boo-hooer. Grow up Corey!

This guy is such a loser. So two years later, and down on his luck, he comes out & tells a "story". what's the matter Corey? Fame not as easy as you thought? Have to kiss and tell to get some traction....no future for this no talent loser.....by Monday we'll have forgotten all about????what was his name again?

Mellynie, you are assuming what Corey says is true. Check the video interviews with Clay Aiken (website in one of my previous posts). He sure doesn't put much stock in Corey Clarks story.

First of all, she is in her 40s now. Secondly- him saying he doesn't want to help AI because they didn't help him. And what, pray tell, does he think is the reason he is where he is and able to get the publicity he is getting? I think he is in denial that they did in fact boost his career. But who cares? If I found out some chick on the show was sleeping with Simon or Randy I wouldn't care. I'd be curious about the quality of the sex.... but that is because I am a self proclaimed pervert. And if he did have a sexual relationship with her, can he not handle that ending? I think we've all dated people that didn't end up being "the one" or whatever. That is part of life. Go on with your life. Or you could define your entire career based on it. Which seems more beneficial to yourself? And did women think he was attractive before? I must have wonky taste in men or something because he wasn't attractive. Oh well, I'll take a dork any day anyway.

I think Paula is CRAZY for doing such a Scandelous thing with my used to be obsession of AI2, I just feel like they are both immature for doing this. Paula is in her 30's now I think she should start acting her age, and GROW UP!!!!! HEY !GIRLS! DO YOU STILL THINK HE'S HOT OR NOT, I PICK NOT!!!!!

Yes, Eric! Scott Peterson is a perfect example. I first noticed it when Susan Smith was pretending that her children were kidnapped and she was talking and crying to the media to " Please help me find my children". It was a gut feeling I had at the time that was later proved correct. I watched the video clips and I agree, I'd believe Clay on this one.

There are two videos on this website in which Clay Aiken gives his take on the Corey/Paula story. When you access the website it will automatically scroll down. Scroll back up and watch the one taped in Raleigh and another after the GMA interview with Corey. Interesting perspective and I'd put more faith in Clays opinion than anything Corey Clark might say.

Well I did hear that AI wanted to let Paula go before the start of this current season but that she made some real concessions and took a cut in perks to keep her job. I think we would have heard far more indignant and high-decibel support for Paula from Fox if the show was planning to keep her. I think this is a convenient way to get rid of her..

But like I said, I think everyone onvolved is perfectly happy to let it slide from here and leave it in limbo.
