Welcome one and all to The Week That Was. I watch too much television, a sad, sad fact. I figured the least I could do would be to share the results with you. Without further adieu, let us see what they are serving up on this final stretch towards the end of the season.
Sunday 4/24.
- Malcolm in the Middle. This series keeps on slipping down that slippery slope. Reese running with a pack of stray dogs? Stupid. Hal and his self help seminar was goofily OK, but this series has run its course. **
- Desperate Housewives. Recap episode. Not bad for those who joined late, but not terribly insightful. I do like the idea of recap shows, Sci Fi did some good ones for Farscape and Stargate SG-1. **
- Crossing Jordan. Decent episode, takes a more serious turn for it's run time, more than episodes usually do. It follows the death of a foreign dignitary, who may or may not have been murdered. It is up to Jordan and crew to find out what happened without an international incident.
- Grey's Anatomy. Time to party! Izzy invites, what appears to be, the entire hospital to a party, while Meredith has some issues with open heart surgery. I am really starting to enjoy this, as the characters are starting to hit their stride. ***
Monday 4/25.
- WWE: Raw. You know, I don't remember what happened on this show, But I am sure it was OK.
- 24. The new President decides that Jack needs to be arrested, despite the critical operation he is currently leading, which leads to a bad situation. The terrorists get away and the President decides he made a mistake. This could be the best season! ***.5
- Las Vegas. This show keeps the fun factor alive. The best part of this episode revolves around Delinda's Amish cousin who comes to Vegas to experience the real world. ***
- Medium. Not sure if I'm going to continue with this come next season. The premise is interesting, a woman with psychic abilities, who tries to balance them with a real life, but seems dull and lifeless at times. This time involving a pilot, a missing wife, and a plan in a nose dive. **.5
Tuesday 4/26.
- Scrubs. Always a hit. Elliot has a new love, and Carla and Turk go to therapy. Meanwhile, Cox is giving Elliot advice and the janitor has fun with a scooter. ***
- The Office. The season finale. An attractive handbag salesman sets up shop in a conference room, let the competition begin! I know a lot of these people. ***
- Veronica Mars. The season is getting close to the end, it is also getting closer to Veronica solving the mystery behind her rape. All that while getting involved with Logan. There is also Veronica helping a classmate combat a boyfriend with a compromising video. ***.5
- Blind Justice. Breaks out of the "I heard it different" formula. We get a Gulf War vet with a secret, and a fight between separated parents and their baby. ***
- Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. This was a very good episode dealing with suspected child abuse and how hysteria can lead to unsuspected results. ***.5
