Is Freezer Mom the 'Welfare Queen' of Social Security? This is the smoking gun (or perhaps the freezing corpse) for Social Security reform. Just like the semi-mythical welfare queen driving up in a new Cadillac to pick up her welfare checks (I can't swear that NEVER occurred, but I can swear it RARELY occurred and when it did it was fraud), the Freezer Mom will become the symbol that shows that Social Security must be abolished!!
If we don't get rid of Social Security everyone will be freezing their mothers in the future!!! Do we really want to see the President forced to freeze Barbara Bush instead of giving her a decent funeral? And think of the energy policy implications... was this Freezer Mom in an Energy Star certified freezer? Or was Social Security contributing to our dependence on foreign energy by encouraging the long term use of extra freezing capacity? Did Freezer Mom vote with absentee ballots? Do Freezer Moms vote in a block? Were fraudulent votes cast in her name? Probably voted Democrat, eh? Do Freezer Moms threaten our very democracy?

Makes sense to me. Fathers go bad quicker.

What? Let's leave the Catholics out of this one... If we freeze the fathers we will have to freeze the ayatollahs, the ministers, and all the other holy men...
I don't quite get it. If you have a freezer big enough for your mom, then you don't have to let her mummify in her bed and block the cracks around the bedroom door with towels until she stops smelling. This seems like a desirable thing.

Why is the freezer needed here? Does social security get notified if we throw her in the stock pot or something? I mean seriously, why must we be so wasteful with our food in this country?
[Perhaps the problem dates back to the era of the household 'rubbish bin' -- anything a member of the household doesn't want is simply tossed in, maybe for others to take out and use or TOO LATE carry away. Compared to that era, the freezer is a giant step for mankind, two-steps-forward-one-step back for all others.]
