Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical

For those who use computers on a regular basis, there is no substitute for an optical mouse. From the first day I gave one a try, I have been a fan, but now the market is flooded with different options. Mice have sprouted more buttons, wheels, and accessories than most thought were possible. One mouse, however, has managed to find its way into my heart, the Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical.
Microsoft isn't known for their hardware, but they do produce a healthy line of optical mice. The IntelliMouse Optical is a an impressive staple in this line. It features an ergonomic design. It's optical technology makes cursory work smoother and more accurate. In addition to the normal two button layout, the IntelliMouse features a scroll wheel as well as third and fourth buttons.
Beyond the fine print, there's a lot I like about this mouse. It is slightly larger than many competing models. The extra size makes it much more comfortable for extended use but may not work well for traveling users. The optical technology works well, and I find the warm red glow comforting at night. Mostly though, I like the third and fourth mouse buttons on the side. These buttons are located near the thumb's resting place and usually correspond to Forward and Back functions. If you spend a lot of time web surfing, these buttons become second nature.
