American Idol: If I Were King

After the bizarre phone number foul-up on American Idol Tuesday night — where the numbers given to vote for Mikalah Gordon, Anwar Robinson, and Jessica Sierra were incorrect — last night we were treated to an utterly redundant "encore" presentation of Tuesday night's performances, along with some additional "live" commentary from the judges and contestants.

"Still feel the same way Simon?"

"Even more so, Ryan. If I am being honest, I don't want to be here."

I paraphrase, but it was freaking shameless.

Tonight on the results show, I would like to see Ryan stand up in front of the contestants, judges, audience and nation at 9:55, and say, "All of you who were actually good Tuesday night, you're safe. Mikalah Gordon, you have grown progressively worse with every performance and you're going home. Good night."

By the way, what exactly do you think Simon was trying to accomplish by telling Carrie Underwood that he thought she was going to win and "sell more records than any other Idol winner"? Does that include Clay, who didn't win?

"By the way, what exactly do you think Simon was trying to accomplish by telling Carrie Underwood that he thought she was going to win and "sell more records than any other Idol winner"?"

What makes that even more interesting is that in the same night, he tells BO it is as if Bo has already made it and is not in the competition.

So who does Simon actually think is going to win? Bo or Carrie.

From his words, sounds like Carrie will win, but Bo will have a good record deal.

Carrie will win and Bo will place second. Each will pursue their own Genre. Carrie country and bo? Well, you know.

I think carrie was a big hit, monday night, stepping out from country,,she probably can do either,,i'm a country music fan, mostly(but i really liked the song monday night.i think she was awesome!!.i think at this point ,she is the best one ..although "BO"is a great singer and performer, and is one of our own(here in sweet home alabama)i think he will place 2nd....

I think Bo deserves to win this because he has done extremely well since the beginning of this whole competition. Carrie has been consistently boring for over half the time she has been on the show. It is true that her performance of "Alone" by Heart was a very good step up from what she has been doing, but that doens't take away from the 4 subpar performances she had in the top 12 female semi-finals and the performance she gave on '60's week. I don't think Bo will turn boring during the remainder of this show. I think he would make the better "American Idol".
