We pay about $15 for <i>basic</i> basic cable, and that's about the most I can see paying. It's not a bad deal in that we get FX, HGTV, USA, MSNBC, and MTV (I actually enjoy certain shows, like The Real World and Making the Band). However, to bump up to "Expanded Basic," which I would need to do to get my beloved Comedy Central and, say, TNT/TBS to watch 3/4 of the NBA playoffs, would cost an additional $30/month, bringing the cable bill to $45. Ridiculous.
