Do you really need Cortislim?
Published March 08, 2005
Prescription drug companies cannot get away with this nonsense, why should "Cynaumon and Friends" be allowed to?
And one more thing...if the "Cortislim Approach" is so great I want to see Talbott and Cynaumon appear shirtless and wearing only shorts in these ads. Don't you agree that if these young guys have hit upon the perfect weight management plan, that they should show us their wares? I don't know about you, but most of my skepticism regarding Cortislim would evaporate if a nice "beefcake" edition - featuring Greg and Shawn - of these ads were produced.
Oh and as far as the Cortislim website goes, if the research that Dr. Talbott and Greg Cynaumon, Ph D tout is so revolutionary, why aren't the results of these studies available on the site? Heck, this info is what proves that this product works, so shouldn't we consumers have a chance to take a gander at it? Or are we too stupid to understand the genius of this discovery? Hmmmm?
Speaking of the website, here's one of those success stories that appeared on the Cortislim site back in 2004.
"I've been so disgusted with my weight, I stopped getting on the scale! When my wife, Stephany, ordered CortiSlim™, I felt new hope. We've both been using and losing weight with CortiSlim™, and we love it! In fact, it started working the first day. Our cravings for carbs and sweets have gone down, and we both feel calmer. Aside from winning the lottery, losing weight was my top wish. CortiSlim™ couldn't have come at a better time."
- Mike and Stephany, California
Results not typical. Your results may vary.
The use of bold print is courtesy of me...first of all, what results? Second of all, do you think there is more than one couple in all of California who are named "Mike and Stephany," and do they run the risk of losing their privacy if they go public with their "success?" How about giving us a town in California? For all the money spent on advertising this product, aren't there writers out there who could come up with something better than this?
Now fast forward to a Cortislim success story that appeared on the same website on March 7, 2005;
Richard 's Story:
"I am 59 years old, 5'-10", and used to lead a basically sedentary life. I knew I had to start changing my lifestyle, and I decided to try the CortiSlim® approach. I began taking one capsule in the morning and one at noon. I also changed my diet to one of much smaller portions, almost no refined sugar, and far fewer carbohydrates. I also purchased an elliptical trainer from Sears and began using it 2 or 3 times a week. By August 30 (5 weeks) I was down to 171. I don't have any before pictures (didn't want any), but I remember looking at my profile in the mirror and thinking I looked like an 8-month pregnant woman! I recently went to auto racing school and I'm attaching a picture of how I now look in my racing suit. I could not have come close to fitting into this suit before! You can't imagine how much better I feel about myself." - Richard

Also "Dr" Greg was never a real psychologist. All he was was a
psychological assistant" which he is now required by the California board of psychology, to announce in his ads.
Now what kind of a "doctor" works as a psychological "assistant" and not as a psychologist? Something mighty fishy here
I am so tired of being deluged by SNAKE OIL SALESMEN in every form of media. How many repetitions of a lie make it the truth? Enough, already!!! Dr. Greg is a boob who only the naive could believe. I look forward to the day I don't hear him on the radio, see him on the TV, or read him in print. Where is the Federal Trade Commission when we need them??? Can you say CEASE AND DESIST?
The FTC & the FDA have been decorticated for years. Most of the persons therein seem to spend the bulk of their time doing nothing to earn their salaries, just putting in time until they can reach retirement; the few times either one has moved to restrict a product or vendor, however lame, the lobbyists have screamed so loudly the agencies have backed off at the speed of light, assisted by the authority of our good representatives on Capitol Hill who are heavily under obligation to these same lobbyists and industries, don't forget. These agencies exist so the government can claim they are actually making efforts to safeguard US citizens from such con artists, but it is the government itself that has emasculated them and rendered them ineffective if not absolutely negligible.
Personally, I have never tried Cortislim or heard of Dr. Greg until a few days ago. Another post said it best when it called these people snake oil salesman and asked where the Federal Trade Commision is when you need them. All I can say is, it's on the way, my man..it's on the way. Cortislim is about to go down big for fraud.
Cortislim is marketed by Window Rock Inc. The president is a guy by the name of Stephen Cheng, whom I did meet a number of years ago. Once I heard Stephen's name attached to Cortislim, I knew the product was bogus. Before there was Napster and file-sharing, there was CD bootlegging, which still exists on a much smaller scale than it used to. At it's peak, in the mid nineties, the Cheng brothers,(Stephen and Thomas)were making money hand over fist importing recorded concerts that had been pressed onto CD and selling them through trader magazines like Goldmine and through their store in Orlando, Fl. This sounds all fine and good, except there were breaking almost every copyright law known to the government, as well as a number of customs laws.
When they finally got busted, Stephen Cheng did about nine months for his bit, although he was sentenced to 15 months. Just though it might be of some interest to anybody who is actually still considering buying some of these sugar pills that it was developed by a guy that has lied about his professional credentials and the main guy in charge of sales is a convicted felon.
If you need to lose weight, there's only one thing that'll work and that's diet and excercise. There might be pills out there that will psyche you up for your work outs, which in turn will make your workouts more intense and burn a few more calories, but in the end, it's the excerise that does it, not the pills....nobody loses weight while watching TV and eating as much pizza as they want....Have a nice day and take care.
