JUNO NOMINEES ANNOUNCED

It's going to be a good year for Avril Lavigne, even those of us who hate her new hairstyle are going to have to admit that. The native of Napanee, Ontario was awarded five Juno nominations. Canadian jazz singer and wife to Elvis Costello, Diana Krall, is nominated in four categories.
Canadian acts such as Billy Talent, Celine Dion, Feist, k-os, Simple Plan, Shania Twain, and Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra each have three nominations this year. Other nominees this year include Bryan Adams, Keshia Chanté, Fefe Dobson, James Ehnes, Great Big Sea, Marc Jordan, Matt Mays, Bob Rock, Ron Sexsmith, Sum 41, Marie-Élaine Thibert, Thornley and The Tragically Hip.
CTV.ca reports that television star Brent Butt will host the 34th annual Juno Awards, which will be broadcast from the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba on CTV, Sunday, April 3rd.
Performers will include Neil Young, k.d. lang, Billy Talent, Simple Plan, k-os and 2005 Juno Award Hall of Fame recipients The Tragically Hip.
