Published February 06, 2005
:: The 11th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® were presented on Saturday night at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center. The winners were:
Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading RoleFoxx and Swank continued their success at 2004 award shows, having already won Golden Globes. Neither Freeman nor Blanchett won a Globe for their 2004 performances. Geoffrey Rush repeated as well, having won a Globe for his portrayal of Peter Sellers, as did Glenn Close for her work in The Lion in Winter. Jerry Orbach, not nominated for a Globe, was awarded for his work in Law & Order. Sadly, this is an award he deserved long ago, before he passed away recently. Still, it is well-deserved.
