Perhaps this may be of interest to some of you.

I've made blog-participation a very important component of the course I'm teaching this semester (a freshman intro. to American Radical Thought at Michigan State University). This is no mere whim. I see fundamental similarities (and, more importantly, a wonderful potential for mutually beneficial cross-pollination) between academic and blog-style discourse...

here's the syllabus (we're doing a lot of philosophy, comics books, films, punk, and political hip-hop)

here's the course blog address

And please, I encourage you to join in the conversation, as it develops over the semester ahead! (we had our first serious round of commenting yesterday)

thanks!
Dave
