Uhm, and that is what typifyies the self-proclaimed bestestest democraziy in the whole part of the world, ever.

They're the least scripted public appearances the President makes, so we have to take what we can.

So this is what we, in the rest of the world can expect from the self-proclaimed bestestest notion going on this globe of ours? Just not good enough? Not even trying? A big sweatey lummox, who rolls over, farts, and says "eh, that's good enough". Y'know what? You people in the USAian parts of the Americas should seriously considering going out and roundly fucking yourselves.

Plus, given the hostility of the media I seriously doubt that the questions which they ask are part of the script. Dave: you do know that Shrub's press conferences are completely managed sham performances? Shrub hits his mark, the extras give their lines, and he does as best he can given coaching to cover up his obvious shortcomings. Screening a press conference or photo-op isn't journalism, it is producing product.

The media doesn't do any decent coverages of press conferences except to pull out the occasional bit that fits what they happen to be reporting on. I was surprised Shrub didn't use the phrase: "we will roast their stomachs in hell" (followed by desk pounding). Isn't it just apparent Shrub is a Dilbert Pointy-headed Boss with the pointy hair hidden by stealth technology. You know, the tag you posted on this article looked like a quote from the press conference, and that got me interested. Then I come to read the article and there's no real information, just an extended rant. You can just post a one-liner that says "I hate Bush irrationally" and leave it at that.
