And the award for the Dumbest Quote of 2004:
[The quote that will live in infamy... ]
"Not only are we going to New Hampshire ... we're going to South Carolina and Oklahoma and Arizona and North Dakota and New Mexico, and we're going to California and Texas and New York! And we're going to South Dakota and Oregon and Washington and Michigan. And then we're going to Washington, D.C. to take back the White House, Yeeeeeaaaaaargh!" --Howard Dean's Iowa concession speech (Click here for audio and remixes of the Dean scream)
[ He will make a great DNC Chariman don't you think ? Just think of all the material we'll have to write about in 2008 !! ]

~Compiled by Daniel Kurtzman / About Political Humor

Yes, we will miss 2004. The humor, the laughter, the pathos, and the drama as the world witnessed American politics at it's finest. Who will ever forget the quick witted Al Sharpton sniping John Kerry and Howard Dean. Oh... don't forget the comic relief of Kucinich and Nader! The outstanding second act performances of Zeller, Rumsfeld, Cheney and Dubya that kept us entertained even as the soldiers and civilians kept dying in Iraq.

On this Christmas Eve and Day, we have much to be thankful for, and much to ponder. Loosing a close relative in Afganistan has personally not been easy, we strugle with understanding the world we live in everyday. Good, Bad, Right, Wrong. Our "leaders" set the direction, and the comic relief, but our perceptions are in our own hearts. The cast of characters who entertained us in 2004 live on... to entertain another day. Thank God we have a country that lets us be free to express ourselves!

Wishing all a Merry Christmas... (PC or Not)

No wonder this review is long. Most of it is repeating the quotes. However, sounds like a fun read.

Nothing against your thoughts or writing skills, but I almost think that these quotes, and the humor in them, work better on their own, without your added comments.

Thanks for showcasing some of the more memorable utterances of the year.

Thanks for your feedback Eric... I struggled with that when putting the piece together. Did not want to do just a cut and paste. :)
