Yesterday I recieved my Diploma in Witchcraft Studies from the WICA institute.

Thanks to Leo Ruickbie and his staff for a wonderful learning experience.

Incidentally, there is an interesting article in the Speccie called We are all pagans now. It is actually a point I have been making for years, now.

Marty's band, Growing Old Disgracefully, can be found at: Disgraceful Music. His Cthulhu tales can be found at Temple of Dagon.

Dude,
Could you cast some spells for me in exchange for a mix tape or two?

Heh, no I am not a practising witch just someone who knows a wee bit about them. I do have a few practicing acquiantances though. BTW that wonderful myth that female witches are old hag with warts is not even close to true in my experience.

Dang.

Happy Winter Solstice! Burn something for me.

Oh, by the way, the term hag was originally used to imply female wisdom, and so, was associated with witchery. The negative connotations came from the monothestic patriarchy's need to suppress alternate beliefs and traditional feminine power centers.

Or so they say.

So then, if I call a woman a hag, she should actually take it as a compliment?

If callin' the wimminfolk names is how you get your jollies in Dixie, I say go for it, girlfriend.

actually, I only live in Dixie, I'm a Yankee by birth. I believe they call me a damn yankee down here, because I came down here and stayed. I have lived deeper in the south and VA isn't really southern, as southern goes anyway. Lastly, I'm not gender specific in my name calling!

Witches can be great fun or annoying...just like any other type of religious person. The only thing I know is the witches I know are really rather laid back.

Thanks!!
