Keith Richards' birthday

Born on December 18, 1943, Keith Richards has somehow survived 61 years of the pirate's life. Congratulations, Keef!

Besides displaying an impressive physical constitution to be able to survive his decades of legendary romantic hard living, Keef is also a musician and composer of some note.

Notably, along with his co-writer Mick Jagger, Keef must be rated one of the top dozen songwritingest SOBs in the rock music tradition. The man who wrote "Satisfaction" and "Ruby Tuesday" and "Stray Cat Blues" and "You Can't Always Get What You Want" is no one to be sneezed at.

Thanks for all the great songs, Keef.

Unreformed hawkish Hoosier hillbilly and sometimes candidate Al Barger runs the still squeezin' down the psychodelic Kentucky moonshine at MoreThings.com, what with the paranoid religious visions and the Pentacostal music and visions of God and anarchy running amok and such. Somebody oughta call the cops to report his out of control freedom of conscience. Till they come to take him away somewhere where he can't hurt anyone else, you can check out his weekly column of NEW ALBUM RELEASES.

Yes, but are we sure Keith's really still alive?

Keith said in an interview, "I can't recommend me lifestyle to anyone else. I come from hardy stock." I love that line.
