Oh, bay-bee, how could you do that? Don't you know that's an evergreen goldmine?

At least you didn't sell Graceland itself, so you and your husband and your children can use the buried treasure in the back-yard. What's that Johnny? She, what! And she did, who?!

Oh, well, at least I didn't wind up in an old folks home with cancer of the pecker.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Lisa Marie Presley (news) is keeping Graceland but selling the bulk of the Elvis estate, including rights to her father's name and image, in a deal worth approximately $100 million.

Elvis Presley Enterprises Inc. announced an agreement Thursday to sell 85 percent of its assets to businessman Robert F.X. Sillerman, founder of music and sports promoter SFX Entertainment.

The Presley estate brought in almost $45 million last year. Sillerman said more aggressive marketing, supported by capital raised through a new publicly traded company, can make Elvis an even bigger earner.

$100M goes a long way and no management drudgery, no responsibility, no headaches - doesn't seem that bad a deal to me, and she still has 15% to keep some income rolling in

First aside: Ah yes, with that $100 million lying around, it sure would be nice to have that extra 15% "just in case."

Second aside: Nice going with the Bubba Ho-Tep link. Great/strange as h-e-double-hockeysticks movie with the great/strange Bruce Campbell.
