You can see it with some other popular/long-running series that have similar "lite" themed episode collections alongside full and part seasons. I also can't help thinking it's a bit of a throwback to before the DVD format came out, as obviously you can't fit an entire series of The Simpsons on noe video, so they had a load of themed collections like this to make it easy and cheap to get a good mix of episodes. Good review though, and I agree that these themed collections are good for casual fans. BUT, play.com have the season DVD boxed sets of The Simpsons for 14.99 delivered - i kid you not.
