<description>I&#039;d agree with you on the episode count -- one pretty damn hokey, and one borderline (including some serious scenery chewing by a former US science fiction actor in a guest role).

Olmos is a bit more patriarchal as Adama than he was as Castillo on &quot;Miami Vice&quot; though.

McDonnell was wooden in the miniseries, but has grown into the role, doing espeically well this week.</description>

<description>This show is a wee bit patchy. Some of the episodes are great and at least one is pretty durn lame. I think Edward James Olmos does a great job as Adama. (Althought not too much of a stretch since he basically plays it like the character he played in Miami Vice.)</description>

<description>The miniseries was different enough and hokey enough to scare me, but good enough for me to give it another chance. Too bad I&#039;ve canceled DISH in the meantime, I guess I&#039;ll wait for the inevitable DVDs.</description>
