I've gotta agree with you on the Hound Dog Taylor "Release The Hound", even if the sound is a little dodgy on "Thing's Don't Work Out Right". Sounds like maybe a bad patch cord or something buzzing away. Lonnie Brooks-Live At Peppers 1968" is a killer release for '04 as well. Sound is a little bit better than your average bootleg but Lonnie's performance and his guitar playing compensate for that. The reissue of Bo Diddley's 1970's funk stuff "Tales From The Funk Dimension" is worth picking up if ya dig Bo(it's kind of pricey as it's an Aussie import). The best release of the year to my ears is "I Found Out" by Nathaniel Mayer on Fat Possum.
