So I flip on the tube last night and see Larry King interviewing the members of Motley Crue. What? On Larry King?
Well, the Crue is getting back together to go on a world tour, put out a greatest hits package and make us all wonder if maybe we didn't just miss that 'ole hair metal just a little bit.
Still, what struck me hardest about the interview was just the King/Crue juxtaposition. I mean, this is big news? Is the record coming out on a label owned by Cnn/Time/Warner? Is Larry King a fan of the Crue? (I would have payed money to hear him announce the Crue on stage "...Motley F*cking Crue!!!")
Uh, anyway....I'm working at home today because of the lovely snow & freezing rain...and I've got Shout At The Devil blasting on the stereo. Gees, what's next? Quiet Riot?
P.S. Check out Blogcritic Matt Wardlaw's Motley Crue Reunion post. It's got actual facts & stuff.

yes, and Mick looked about as interested in taking part in the interview as Keith Richards usually does (or doesn't, in this case).
"Gees, what's next? Quiet Riot?"
One can always hope!

it was pretty surreal, with Larry Calling Mick Mars "Nick", Mick Mars standing propped against the wall, and Motley Crue just came off like walking outtakes from Fast Times At Ridgemont High.
The whole interview was weird, and probably one of the larger clashes of culture I have seen in a while!
If they were going for shock value, it had the desired effect, because it was 8 minutes of total oddness, like a car crash live on national TV.
I heard "shit" come through in the background of the video I was watching of the Larry King footage....sounded like it was on the intro tape for Motley Crue...interesting to hear "shit" on live TV:-) There's no laws against that, right?
But hey, let's fine radio stations a lot of money for the same slip up!
Overall, I enjoyed watching the Motley thing - it actually made me want to go see the show.
