Earlier in the year the highly successful Blogger Idol project held at the LivingRoom blog took a mid year break after a busy first season.

Today Blogger Idol returns on a new blog totally dedicated to the project. The new site is being hosted on the Breaking News Blog Network.

The concept of Blogger Idol is simple. Over 150 bloggers have signed up to receive a weekly theme email which outlines the week's topic for posting. Bloggers then post on the theme on their own blog and publicize it on a central page with a short description.

There is no one winner each week - rather each blogger may nominate those entries they like the best.

- A free and easy way to promote your blog
- Builds page ranking as your blog is listed on the Blogger Idol weekly pages as well as other bloggers pages if they vote for you
- Discover other quality bloggers
- Stimulation for post topics (sometimes we all get bloggers block and need a starting point)

Week 1 of series two's theme is All I want for Christmas....' Entries can be anything from stories, photos, essays, rants, poems, quotes - whatever. Creativity is encouraged.
