Book of the Year Goes to...

...America by Jon Stewart.

Publishers Weekly announced the honor today, citing the book as "a serious critique of the two-party system, the corporations that finance it and the 'spineless cowards in the press' who 'aggressively print allegation and rumor independent of accuracy and fairness.'"

This just makes me want my copy even more. Damned holidays (or should it be my own lack of money that makes everything become holiday gifts?).

From what I've read and what I've seen from him on The Daily Show, this is a more-than-deserved award. This not long after a poll said he's the most trusted man for news among 20-something year olds. Stewart____'08? I guess that would go against everything he believes in, although he would likely win.
