I don't think McNabb had any rushing yards in that game, either.

Are you serious? You miss six games and you think it's "Pretty damn good if I must say so yourself." Huh?!? You're joking...right?

I've been playing football pools for over 25 years and I don't ever recall anyone winning with six wrong. In fact, I've seen people do better than that by flipping a coin.

What's notable is just how far OFF you were on some of your predictions...

RJ: "Minnesota destroys 'da Bears' 38-13." Actual outcome - Chicago 24, Minnesota 14.
...a differential of 35 points.

RJ: "Brett Favre is on a mission to win his division, GB wins 28-24." Actual outcome - Philadelphia 47, Green Bay 17.
...a difference of 38 points.

RJ: "Seattle wins easily (over Dallas), 27-10." Actual outcome - Dallas 43, Seattle 39.
...a differential of 21 points.

In those three games alone you were off by 90 points.

BTW, back on October 3, 2003, you agreed with Rush Limbaugh's statement that Donovan McNabb was overrated. You stated, in part, "Rush's comment was not racsist....He might have been right. McNabb hasn't been as good or successful as one might gather by all the press attention surrounding him. No Super Bowl rings, a fairly mediocre QB rating...Sure, he runs like a champ, but he's not a running back; he's a quarterback."

Here's what the "overrated" Donovan McNabb did on Sunday:

He completed 32 of 44 passes for a team record 464 yards and five touchdown passes, plus he broke Joe Montana's all-time NFL record for consecutive pass completions.

McNabb is currently second in the NFL on the season's quarterback rating chart (110.4), third in touchdown passes (28) and fourth in passing yardage (3,356 yards).

The Packers were totally mystified. It was probably Favre's worst performance this season.

Five more final scores:

I picked SD by 3 over Denver. And SD won by ... 3!

I picked Washington by 10 over the Giants, and they won by 24.

I picked GB over Philly, but the Eagles whipped the Packers.

I picked Jacksonville over the Steelers in OT, and they lost by 1...

And I picked KC over the Raiders by, uh, 41. And the Chiefs did win, but only by 7...

So, I was 3-2 in the 5 late games, and 7-3 in the 10 early games. Added together, I was 10-5.

Pretty damn good, if I must say so myself. (And apparently I must...)

Maybe if I do another one of these next week, someone else will have the guts to offer their own predictions? You know, for the sake of comparison?

There are four late afternoon games today, and one night game (and then one more game tomorrow night).

In the four late afternoon games, I picked SD over Denver, KC over Oakland, Washington over the Giants, and GB over Philly.

The scores so far:

SD 7, Denver 0

KC 7, Oakland 3

Washington 7, NY Giants 0

Philly 7, GB 0

So, I'm on pace to get 3 of these 4 games correct as well.

Who's the man? ;-)

Being a Denver fan (and living in Denver, obviously) this game is critical and spells out the whole postseason. If Denver loses this game, they not only drop two games behind San Diego... but their division record (which is what really counts in the postseason) will be shattered since they tanked to the Raiders in that crazy great snow game last weekend.

long story short... you best be wrong about that one.
