Minus the Bear, Iron and Wine and Aveo are all great.

I will be sure to check out some of the other ones.

Thanks!

Good to see the Unicorns. I dig their post No New York noise rock vibe.
I'm also grooving to the High Water Marks. Rock and roll's not dead, just on a holiday retreat.

This is a track that I really like Minnesota's The Violettes.

I recognized far too many of these bands, and even individual tracks. Either I'm much more indie than I used to be, which is definitely possible, or this listing just isn't indie enough.

You did throw in some mainstream stuff, right?

#6 — December 2, 2004 @ 07:59AM — Robert [URL]

The MusicMatch list is definately more "mainstream" bands than the Rhapsody list.

If you know the 1/2 the bands on the Rhapsody list you are in-the-know, so to speak.

They are all quality bands with quality music. And that's what music is about after all isn't it?

If you can say you have heard every song on these lists I'll show you a liar.

:-)

Robert, there's a bit at the end of your post that says "listen 3 times for free with..." but the scentence seems to be snipped. I'd like to give these folks an ear or two, is what.

#8 — December 2, 2004 @ 09:40AM — Phillip Winn [URL]

Robert, I only actually know nine of the bands on the MusicMatch list, and only two on the Rhapsody list, so I guess I'm still happily out of touch.

Thanks for the clarification!
