More Post-Election Lunacy In San Fran

"Chris Finarelli could barely believe his own eyes last Wednesday. As Vice President of the College Republican Club at San Francisco State University, Finarelli showed up at the student union building that morning to help table and distribute literature to solicit new club members after President Bush's victory the previous election day. What he found was a noisy and menacing mob of over 300 Palestinian, Arab, Muslim and radical leftist students surrounding his club's table being held back by 13 San Francisco State police officers"...

The full story (with photos) can be viewed here.

This kind of savagery should be strictly punished by the university's authorities. But, of course it won't be.

FrontPage Mag isn't exactly a neutral news source. That said, if the protesters physically attacked the other students, they should have been arrested.

But I'd be interested in reading about this incident and the associated history from a different source. The bias in the article you cited is more than blatant.

I agree 100% bhw. I would be interested in reading about this incident from a more neutral source as well...

then the question is, is this story covered anywhere else by the MSM? Probably not...

#4 — November 9, 2004 @ 08:55AM — RJ [URL]

I agree, Andy. This isn't the sort of incident that matches the MSM's "template" of a story worth reporting...

Now, if 300 "right-wing white boys" had menaced a Muslim group on a college campus, it would end up being on the front page of the NYT for a week straight...

More hyperbole, RJ.

I haven't checked for the story in other outlets, but sometimes colleges/big universities are treated like little islands in their towns and aren't covered as if they were just another neighborhood in the community. If this protest had occurred at a church, I assure you the papers would have picked it up.

Of course, the college football and basketball coverage reaches all media outlets.

Chris Finarelli could barely believe his own eyes

His astonishment covered his face like flies on dog poop, "I don't understand," he cried, "a minority group is protesting the Repubican party. Is this a wake-up call for Ashcroft or what?"

This kind of savagery

It must be stopped! Why there are photos of people standing there! Who can believe such atrocities. They are chanting! Oh, the horror! They are raising their arms in protest, oh the brutality of it all! They are holding up signs, yes, we have pictures of them holding up signs. How barbaric! We need a bigger police force to enforce our Republican ideology! The best way to get that is to call people who are just standing there, savages!!!!

lol...

Fun quote:

"The only way we can defeat you is to kill as many as possible! I'd rather die a suicide bomber's death than to call myself an American!"

Ahh, it's no big deal, BCB. I'm sure these decent folk strongly support gay marriage...

Nice, Boom.

Another part of the story I liked was: "They were all around us wearing black and white keffiyahs like Arafat wears," said Finarelli ...

I can only conclude that all the characterizations of RJ in the other recent thread are true.

Ahh, it's no big deal, BCB.

Not any worse than anything Fred Phelps says. Welcome to America.

I'm sure these decent folk strongly support gay marriage...

only people who want to support gay marriage are the people I should ally with? Wrong. How about only people who want the separation of Christianity and the state. THAT might make us allies. (the state being taken over by any other religion is a non-existant threat).

Unfortunately this appears to have not been picked up and verified by other media

Unfortunately, incidents similar to this have happened at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec

Cheers

I went to and graduated from Concordia University in Montreal, and all I know, if, as a result of a riot, you wind up becoming a member of the Canadian Senate, and the Prime Minister of Dominica, then there might be something to this so-called "student unrest".

But then that wouldn't suit RJ's agenda. Geez, are you so desperate?
