Unreformed hawkish Hoosier hillbilly and sometimes candidate Al Barger runs the still squeezin' down the psychodelic Kentucky moonshine at MoreThings.com, what with the paranoid religious visions and the Pentacostal music and visions of God and anarchy running amok and such. Somebody oughta call the cops to report his out of control freedom of conscience. Till they come to take him away somewhere where he can't hurt anyone else, you can check out his weekly column of NEW ALBUM RELEASES.

#1 — November 9, 2004 @ 09:09AM — BRICKLAYER

I shall purchase the NOFX, download some Shania, Britney and Vanessa, curse Mr. Keith, and continue to ponder the question: When will the Cattle Decapitation DVD be released?

#2 — November 9, 2004 @ 10:34AM — Phillip Winn [URL]

From "gently weeping" to "screaming and moaning" -- the guitar is versatile indeed!

#3 — November 9, 2004 @ 13:38PM — JR

I will be buying the Queen set, as that looks to have been recorded within days of when I saw them.

Hmmm, "On Fire"; isn't that a synonym for "flaming"?

#4 — November 9, 2004 @ 13:48PM — Tom Johnson [URL]

JR, you picked up on the same issue I had with this set - that name just seems so inappropriate. Regardless, I'll be picking this one up this week . . . the DVD is out next week in case anyone is interested.

#5 — November 10, 2004 @ 13:16PM — Eric Olsen

BRitney's amazing mutating breats seems to have shrunk again

#6 — November 10, 2004 @ 15:19PM — The Theory

I like "Harmonium" a lot. And that Neko Case cd should be fantastic. She has one of the best new (compared to, say, Emmylou or Loretta Lynn) female voices in country music.

#7 — November 11, 2004 @ 16:53PM — Bill Sherman [URL]

Can't help checking out the expanded Go-Betweens discs: 16 Lovers Lane is part of my personal soundtrack. . .

#8 — November 12, 2004 @ 12:47PM — Shhhh

Have you heard of the World Provider?
Better yeah, better then Brittanys ever changing breasts or 16 Lovers lane! Check out this bio i found plus his latest tours!
World Provider to take on the U.S (well part of it anyway)

Montreal-based The World Provider has humbly described himself as "The World's Leading Casio Karaoke Striptease Entertainer." His tunes range from lo-fi keyboard punk to ass-kicking rock anthems, by way of distorted, sped-up folk classics - performed entirely on cheap synthesizers of varying vintages. As for his high-energy, multiple-costumed live shows, one critic perhaps summarized it best when he declared: "anyone who's seen the balls-out, carnivalesque crooner live knows he doesn't do anything half-assed."

The WP is often cited as a member of the International Canadian Jackass cabal (Peaches, Gonzales, Mocky, Taylor Savvy and Feist); the One-Man Band revival (Bob Log III, Quintron, Magas), the Canadian Costumed Casio Entertainer community (Leiderhosen Lucil, Canned Hamm, Just Like the Movies), and most recently the Montreal Synth Punk scene (Les Georges Leningrad, We Are Molecules, Echo Kitty, et al). While the WP has collaborated, performed, and/or simply had a few beers with all of these excellent entertainers, he (perhaps predictably) prefers to think of himself as in a class all his own.
The World Provider has previously released the underground cassette/CDR The Elements of Style (2000) and the limited
edition six-song mini-CD Deep Inside The World Provider (Perfect School, 2003). The official full-length début on Ta-Da! Records dropped earlier this year.
