The strong personal style of the German photographer Roman Kasperski is the result of a great imagination, playfulness and a decent dose of humor. The work balances between expressionistic intensity and the lighthearted smooth photography we know from commercials and advertisement.

Looking at the images you can see a reflection of erotic and cultural theme's from the last decades. The Jeff Koons soft pornographic style, the Cindy Sherman fragile self-portraits and on the contrary the glossy Pin-up.

Roman Kasperski does not copy these influences, he absorbs them and then creates his own theme and style. In combination with his beautiful character models the result is truly amazing.

About the artist:
Roman Kasperski was born 1972 in Oberhausen, Germany. Since the middle of the nineties, he had numerous exhibitions and publications. Kasperskis work is based on a wide and firm technical foundation: rooted within the classic craft he uses the new Medias in a well considered way. The precisely aesthetic compositions of objects, picture room and detail show his determined use of study and practice. This placed him to become seminar leader at the master school of photography in Dusseldorf, Germany.

His work has recently been published in "The Body" - The finest collection of esthetic nude art photography (Isbn: 3-89985-308-3).
